  • Military Aircraft Manufacture Post Pearl Harbor

Before the U.S. entry into World War II, America produced relatively small numbers of military aircraft. How did the United States employ strategies to achieve mass production of diverse military aircraft in the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor attack? How did the available workforce change? Furthermore, what economic factors supported this manufacturing capacity and played a role in the rapid expansion of aircraft production in the country? Once the war was over, how did this infrastructure aid in fighting the Cold War, starting with the Berlin Airlift?
  • Bombers and Fighters Utilized in War

Nazi Germany developed sophisticated rockets and missiles during the Second World War. Following WWII, the U.S. brought over German rocket and missile specialists to create the U.S. rocket program. The U.S.S.R. also persuaded German scientists through a variety of means to come to the U.S.S.R. to develop their own programs. Compare past programs of the U.S. and Soviets along with the multitude of international countries and private companies involved today in rocket and missile programs. • aviation discussion

Now that you have read the article(s) and watched the video that was assigned in write a progressive discussion on managing a Human Factors (HF) type program. Last week, you had to establish a sustainable HF program, and now you must decide the best approaches to managing the program. The HF program should actively promote HF communication, motivate people, reduce risk, and promote a strong safety culture in the aviation maintenance environment.

This week, you have more leeway in your initial post, and while it should be approximately 200 words, the goal is your personal perspective. How would you, as a leader, manage the aspects noted in the previous paragraph? Developing a program is one thing, and making it operate effectively is another one. Make sure to support your post with a minimum of two APA-style references. It is acceptable to use industry resources or resources from other industry areas. Don’t be afraid to look outside the “box” of aviation maintenance to find useful information. Document your references at the bottom of your response. Examine the Discussion Rubric and the information page to identify the qualities of effective participation in discussion activities.
