    2) Don’t forget to take a screenshot to show you watched the video.

    3) Now take some time to reflect. Consider these questions and write a response of 200+ words about your reflection. You dont need to answer these specific questions, they are simply to help you reflect on what you have learned.

How has your understanding of behavioral health changed with your new knowledge of neurobiology?

What questions do you have about these or other disorders?

How will this understanding impact your interactions with people, and care of people in the behavioral health field?

  • Social and emotional development impact on physical and cogn…

In this discussion, we are going to explore how social and emotional development can affect the physical and cognitive development during the lifespan stages of (a) infancy and toddlerhood (Birth to age 3), and (b) early childhood (Ages 3-6). To answer the above question, “How does social and emotional development affect the physical and cognitive development in infancy and the preschool years?”, this will require, first, dividing this discussion into two groups: The group that will discuss the infancy/toddlerhood aspect; and another group that will discuss the preschool years/early childhood aspect. Here is how we are going to accomplish this: Group 1: Infancy/Toddlerhood (Birth to age 3) First, you will watch the YouTube video, “Why Love Matters by Sue Gerhardt: 9 Minute Summary”, which is a summarized version of Gerhardt’s (2014) book, Why Love Matters: How Affection Shapes a Baby’s Brain (and if you have the book, that is fine as well). In addition to what you have learned in the texts and slides dealing with the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional developments that take place during infancy and toddlerhood, write a post concluding how important social and emotional development is with infants and toddlers that would affect their physical and cognitive development throughout and in the future. Group 2: Preschool/Early Childhood (Ages 3-6) First, you will watch the YouTube video, “Early Childhood Social and Emotional Learning”, which is a glimpse of how social and emotional learning is being taught in Wisconsin public schools (WisconsinDPI, 2018). In addition to what you have learned in the texts and slides dealing with the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional developments that take place during the preschool years/early childhood, write a post concluding how important social and emotional development is with children in the preschool/early childhood years that would affect their physical and cognitive development throughout and in the future. NOTE: When you choose your group, please make sure you indicate which group you chose with your name when you make your initial discussion post. Your initial post should have at least 250 words. Once you have completed your initial post, please comment under two or more students’ posts, which should be at least 40-60 words minimum. These responses should be meaningful, also including whether you agree with the findings of the topics that were presented in the discussion posts. Additionally, include 1-2 questions of what you would like to know more of. The APA Style and Grammar guide is available in the syllabus under “Course Requirements” on how to cite your sources using APA style. Or you can click here to access it.

  • Time management and daily activity reflection

This assignment will help you identify how you spend your days; what activities take up the most time, and where time might exist that you could use for tasks such as classwork. Additionally, this assignment will help you identify the “black holes” in your day, the time you lose doing things that are less productive. We are defining “black holes” as (excessive time) spent on social media, gaming, the phone, watching tv/movies, or any other time that is not allocated to a meaningful task in your day. There are two parts in the attached worksheet to complete. The first is a time log in which you will monitor and type all that you do within a 3-day period. In the second part of the worksheet, you will reflect on your completed time log from part 1 and write a short 250300-word summary of your experience. You will turn in both parts of this assignment. Part 1: Monitor your time in hourly increments. Choose your three most typical days of the week, preferably two workdays and one day off. You can use any three days you’d like. o Use the time monitoring log provided in the worksheet to write down what you did each hour of the day, starting at 5 a.m. and ending at 10 p.m. Even if you do not get up until 10 a.m., you still need to record 5 a.m. – 9 a.m. as sleep. o Do not overdo the recording; record the primary activity for the hour. At most, record two activities per hour. Part 2: Reflection On Day 4, review your completed time monitoring log from part 1 of the worksheet, and then analyze how you use your time each day. Use the questions in the instructions for part 2 to guide your writing. Note: Please do not submit assignments as PDF files. APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is always expected. During the week Monday-Friday this is my schedule. I wake up at 5am.
