Change Management Roles
InstructionsOrganizational change initiatives are a team effort. It is the job of the leadership team to ensure that transition is a success. To do so, the right leaders must be put in place, and each must hold a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
Examine the Delta Pacific Case Study – See attachment
Delta Pacific Case Study
- Then analyze the following: What are the challenges facing Delta Pacific?
- What change initiative would be most effective to implement within this organization? (Use the Rasmussen Resource Library if you need assistance with identifying change models.)
- What type of change leaders need to be put in place? (Ex.: Change Lead, Change Managers, Change Analyst, etc.)
- What departments, areas, and stakeholders will each leader be responsible for?
- Where will each change leader be most effective?
- What roles will each change leader need to play at their level of influence?
Leadership Structure Plan
Utilizing the above information, create a Leadership Structure Plan that includes the following:
- At least three change leader positions to be put in place for the change initiative.
- Description of each change leader’s roles and responsibilities.
- Account of departments they will lead.
- A short description of how each position will effectively aid in the success of the initiative.
Note: When creating your plan, think in terms of a job description and job analysis, and the detail used to specifically identify the roles and responsibilities of each particular job assignment.

Scenario:The relationship between benefits and employee satisfaction continues to evolve. The traditional benefits packages are not as competitive as they once were. As employees wants and needs continue to change, organizations need to consider keeping up with the demands. The shift in priorities of todays workforce requires employers to change their approach to benefits and think creatively when trying to attract, connect, and retain employees.
In your role as compensation and benefits specialist for a large commercial construction company, you have been tasked to create a benefits package based on a recent Survey (See attachment Article). Since the goal is to increase employee motivation you decide to create a pamphlet for the employee benefits package.
Assessment Instructions:
You are to create the new benefits package after reviewing the article containing the survey information and create a pamphlet highlighting the following:
- Provide an overview of the new benefits package.
- Classify the legally required benefits offered.
- Describe the discretionary benefits offered.

Analyzing Organizational Effectiveness
Assessment Description
The purpose of this assignment is to analyze how businesses interact with their internal and external environments. Students will also apply their knowledge of decision-making models, technology and innovation, management theories, and goal setting.
Considering that an organization is defined as two or more people working together toward a common goal, think of an organization with which you are or have been involved (e.g., campus club, employer, church group). Select one of these organizations where you observed or were affected by a problem or issue as the basis of this paper in which you will analyze its effectiveness in handling that problem or issue.
Write a paper (1,600-1,800 words) in which you address the following based on the organization you have selected.
- Describe your involvement in the organization you have chosen to write about during the time it experienced the issue/problem. Include a brief summary of the issue/problem.
- Apply the four components of an open system in evaluating whether your chosen organization functioned as an effective open system while interacting with its external environment during that period. Explain your response.
- Provide an explanation, using three appropriate management theories from three distinct viewpoints/approaches, for how the organization could have handled the problem effectively with three specific stakeholders (internal and/or external). For example, you can include one theory from within each of the following: the classical viewpoint (e.g., scientific management theory), the human relations approach under the behavioral viewpoint, (e.g., Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory), and evidence-based management under the quantitative viewpoint.
- Define both the rational and nonrational decision-making models. Explain whether the rational or the nonrational decision-making model was used in handling the problem. If rational is chosen, integrate its steps in your response. For either rational or nonrational, evaluate the shortcomings of the decision-making model used.
- Identify and use an AI tool, such as Mosaic or other approved applications noted in the Approved Tools and Plugins section of the AI Resource Center, located on the Student Success Center, to formulate a suggested solution to the problem. Discuss the steps taken to generate the suggested solution, including the prompt that you created and adjusted to yield the desired results.
- Considering the four functions of management, briefly suggest how each function can be used to implement one long-term goal and one short-term goal to meet the AI recommendation above. Include a justified rationale for your suggestions.
You are required to use at least four external scholarly sources in addition to the textbook.

Decision Tree
Build a decision tree based on the following scenario. OM, Inc., a manufacturer of widgets, is considering the possibility of producing a new super-duper widget. However, they cannot decide between using an automatic 3D printing manufacturing technique or producing the widgets by traditional methods. This new project will require OM, Inc. to either purchase a high-end 3D printer or hire and train four additional employees. The market for the new widget could be either favorable or unfavorable. Ultimately, OM, Inc. can also decide not to develop the new widget. Sales for favorable customer acceptance would be 20,000 widgets selling for $1,900 each. With unfavorable acceptance, sales of the widgets would only be 4,000 widgets at a selling price of $1,900 each. The initial setup cost of the 3D printing system is $2,000,000; however, the hiring and training of the four new employees would cost only $400,000. In the end, manufacturing costs are $1,700 for each widget when manufacturing without 3D printing and $1,500 each when 3D printed. The probability of favorable acceptance of the new widgets is .30; the probability of unfavorable acceptance is.70. Before you start building your decision tree, review the How to Build a Decision Tree in Excel OM example presentation narrated by the course developer, Dr. Bob Walton. -
