    instructions are attached.

  • Board of directors

Governing a healthcare organization is a team effort. It is particularly important that all members of the team understand the role of governance and what constitutes effective governance. The Board of Directors is responsible for developing and reviewing the healthcare organization’s overall mission and strategy. As a healthcare leader/administrator, you are responsible for collaborating and communicating with the board. Communication often involves presentations at board meetings. The board guides the long-term goals and policies of the organization by making strategic plans and decisions. The board does not get involved in managing the organization’s activities; instead, they oversee them. Instructions Students will create a 1015 minute narrated presentation based on their report, resulting from the Assurance of Learning Exercise: Strategies for a Healthcare Organization Assignment. Presentations must be created and narrated using Microsoft PowerPoint only. Your presentation will include no more than 10 slides, so synthesize your information concisely and effectively. You will be allotted 5 additional slides for the title, agenda, primary conclusions and/or recommendations, and references. Three peer-reviewed sources published within the last 5 years must be included. Biblical integration must be provided. The Board of Directors for your healthcare organization requests recommendations concerning the strategic direction you have chosen and the current position of the organization. With that in mind, complete the following: A. Based on your 10-page report findings, succinctly present what this organization should do and why. For this portion, the board desires specific plans, strategies, and recommended actions in the form of a formal and comprehensive business plan. This will position the organization to fulfill its existing and/or revised mission, enhance its profitability, and/or better position it in its competitive markets. o Include Biblical worldviews of compassion and stewardship in relation to the impact of cost, quality, and access to care for the organization. B. The board also needs your recommendations concerning implementation, pace, and timeline for assessment of effectiveness, etc. C. Provide a concise summary/conclusion of your strategic recommendations (supported by peer-reviewed sources

  • Property manager interview

You are to interview a property manager and submit a written account based on the interview. This interview can be in person, by telephone, or over Zoom, Teams, etc. Do not use email or text.

You will research the Property Managers responsibilities and their job and prepare a list of questions to discuss with the Property Manager during the first four (4) weeks of the class. One of the questions must elicit a thorough discussion of both national and local landlord/tenant laws. Be specific.

Your interview can take place anytime during weeks 4 through 6. (Suggestion – Do your research for the paper (See below) beforeinterviewing. This will help you conduct an in-depth discussion.) You are expected to ask follow-up questions to expand on the answers the interviewee gives.

    Assignment Instructions

Prepare a paper thoroughlydiscussing the interview. (See or Purdue OWL, for how to cite your Property Manager).

Include what you discovered in your research in the paper (Use citations). The paper must include

    • your research,
    • your thoughts and analysis,
    • and a critical-thinking evaluation of the research and the interview.

If you cannot (or choose not to) find a Property Manager to interview, you may submit a topic for my approval for a research paper instead. The research paper will address a relevant topic in property management that has not been discussed in class.

Please pay close attention to the instructions about AI in the following instructions.

The assignment must be in proper APA format. If you set up Words features (headers, margins, alignment, indentations, page breaks, hanging indentations, etc.) to help you do this, it will be much easier. If you need help using Word, contact your Advisor or Classroom Support.

In the Appendix of the paper, formatted according to APA style, list your questions and the answers from the interview. See or Purdue OWL for how to format an Appendix in APA style.

Late papers are not accepted unless you have discussed your issue with the teacher well before the due date. It’s the Faculty’s choice as to whether to accept a late assignment or not. Late assignments are subject to a 10% per day penalty.

Before submitting, use the following checklist to be sure you’ve included all parts of the paper.

Double space everything in all assignments.

    • The paper must contain (You may want to use this outline to set up a template for future APA papers).

A title page, using APA 7thEdition Student formatting as outlined at or Purdue OWL. (Note: Student papers use page numbers in the upper-right corner, NOT Running Headers). Bold the title.

Use Words Page Break feature here for correct spacing.

-An Executive Summary– (On a separate page, placed between the title page and the main paper). The title for Executive Summaries is Executive Summary, bolded and centered. Paragraphs are indented. Business does notuse Abstracts.

An Executive Summary is a summary of the most important content in your report. They are written for upper management afteryou write your report, so the manager can review your ideas and make a decision. It will review your thought process, your main points, and your conclusions from your analysis of the research and interview with next steps and/or solutions. It is not just a summary of your paper.

You are summarizing your analysis for the manager and stating your conclusions from your research and analysis. Do not just write a list of sentences that you have taken from your paper. For the papers in this class, an Executive Summary will be about three-quarters to a page and a half long.

Use Words Page Break feature here for correct spacing.

The body of the paper must contain-

-The title of the paper, centered and bolded above the introductory paragraph.

-An introductory paragraph (Do NOT label it Introduction; label it with the title of the paper, centered and bolded. See the sample student APA paper on OWL Purdue for an example).

-The discussion and analysis of your research, using APA headings and citationswhere needed (See Student Sample paper at Purdue OWL).

-No more than 20% of your paper should be taken from other research. Please check TurnItIn (TII) percentage after submission. If TII says you have more than 20%, look at your paper and see where you can add more of your ideas and analysis to bring the percentage down to no more than 20%. Then resubmit.

You must demonstrate original thought in your paper along with research to either support or refute your ideas (Yes, it is okay to argue with the research) – a report consisting of a lot of quoted work with no original thought will not receive credit.

Any material, ideas, thoughts, words, images, etc. taken from another author must be cited, whether you are quoting them or not.

-A conclusion, which briefly summarizes the paper and outlines your suggestions and findings. Label it Conclusion with an APA first-level heading.

Use Words Page Break feature here for correct spacing.

-A reference page formatted in APA style-***If you do not have citations ANDreferences for your resources, you will not receive credit for the research.

References must be formatted using the correct APA style. For electronic/online sources, use the APA electronic formatting style.

All references use a hanging indent. Please see Purdue OWL or our Library, for how to format references.

    A few helps for references.

The title of the reference page is References. Bold and center it.

The first title in a reference is always written in lowercase.

Some article titles are italicized; some are not. Books, websites, magazines, journals, names of movies, etc. are italicized.

-A minimum of four references is required. These will support or refute your ideas in the paper. You can disagree with reference material if you use common sense, logic, and experience. You, also, may use your text.

Wikipedia, Investopedia, Dictionaries, and other sites like this are not considered valid academic sources. You may use them, but they do not count as your four valid references.

-Please note that mere copying and pasting from a website is not research. Do NOT feed your paper through any AI app, including Grammarly. It will rewrite it, and you will receive a zero. (FYI AI plagiarizes and uses fake references). To use Grammarly, use the Grammarly plug-in for Word or Word’s Proofing Option, and it will underline your errors. All papers are electronically checked using specialized software to see if you wrote your work.

Plagiarized and AI-produced material will not receive credit and will be forwarded to the APU/AMU Plagiarism Department. This report goes in your permanent file.

    A Few More Tips

-EVERYTHING in an APA paper is double-spaced, including references.

-This is not an instructional document, so do not use you in any form. If you are telling a personal story, you may use I or We. Personal connections to your experiences made in papers are a good thing. Apply what youre learning.

-Numbers less than 10 are written in words.

-Abstracts are not indented; Executive summaries are. We do not use Abstracts in business.

-Do not use contractions in academic papers. Examples of contractions are dont, didnt, its, werent, arent, etc.

-In the body of your paper, books, journals, magazines, etc. are italicized. Names of articles are put in quotation marks.

    Proofread before submitting.

-Upon completion, go to Class Tools and upload your work to the Assignments area of the classroom

  • Target the store

This course includes a staged Strategic Analysis Report project for which you will submit research components each week. For this weeks stage, you will analyze the external environment for the organization you selected. Description: Perform research on the organization to learn about and understand the strength and impact of the industry forces and macroenvironmental forces for the industry the organization competes in and complete Part 2 External Environment Analysis of the Strategic Analysis Report. You may want to utilize: industry analyst reports; the organizations website, annual report, and general news; and competitor websites, annual reports, and general news. Your written work for this and all assignments in this course should follow APA style guidelines, and should be uploaded to the assignment submission folder in this module. Refer to the Library and Learner Support in the Getting Started section if you need additional help with APA. In two to four pages, synthesize your research and understanding of the industry in which the business you selected competes to complete the following sections: Industry Overview Describe the primary industry or market segment that the business competes in. If the business competes in multiple industries, choose one specific industry or market segment for the focus of your analysis. • The Cost of Childcare vs. Income in Canada Big question: Is…

You are to create a business report. The business report should flow as follows: introduction, 3 main points with atleast 3 subpoints for each, closing/conclusion reference list and a citation list

The Cost of Childcare vs. Income in Canada

Big question: Is childcare affordable for the average working family?

The three main points should be:

    1. Cost of Childcare in Canada

This section explains how expensive childcare is and how it affects families.

    a) Average childcare costs by province

    • Compare monthly childcare costs across provinces (Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, etc.). Creating a graph or chart here would be great.
    • Briefly discuss how costs differ for infants vs toddlers vs preschoolers.

    b) Impact on family income

    • Childcare can take a large percentage of a household’s income.
    • Low- and middle-income families are affected the most. Briefly discuss families who rely on OW and ODSP

    c) Comparison to other countries

    • Compare Canada’s childcare costs to countries with subsidized childcare.
    • Example: Nordic countries or France provide heavily subsidized care.
    • Show how affordability influences workforce participation.

    2. Government Policies and Subsidies

This section looks at what the government is doing to reduce childcare costs.

    a) The $10-a-day childcare plan

    • Canadas federal childcare agreement aims to reduce childcare fees.
    • Provinces are implementing it differently.
    • Discuss progress and challenges.

    b) Provincial childcare programs

    • Each province offers different subsidies or programs.
    • For example, Quebec has long had a subsidized childcare model.
    • Ontario provides childcare fee subsidies based on income.

    c) Accessibility vs affordability

    • Even when childcare is cheaper, spaces may be limited.
    • Waitlists can be very long.
    • Families may not be able to access subsidized spots.

    3. Economic and Social Impacts of Childcare Affordability

This section explains why childcare affordability matters for society and businesses.

    a) Workforce participation

    • High childcare costs can prevent parents (especially mothers) from working.
    • Affordable childcare increases labour force participation.

    b) Impact on businesses and the economy

    • When parents cannot work, businesses face labour shortages.
    • Affordable childcare supports economic growth and productivity.

    c) Child development and early education

    • Quality childcare supports children’s social and cognitive development.
    • Early education improves long-term academic success.
