    Textbook

The textbook for this course is: Coller, David A, & Evans, James R. (2024 3rd edition). Operations and Supply Chain Management. Cengage. ISBN 9780357901649

Directly from my teacher, she stated that when you write your 12-page paper, youre going to be focusing on project objectives, going to be looking at the outline basically, and youll be saying things such as in any organization, they will have to consider things such as this, this, and that. Then heres an example. Then can put in pieces of my assignments, and so on, then itll lead to this. And heres an example.. then another piece of an assignment into the paper. So no you dont have to do research you have to think about the big picture of what this course has done and what my supporting arguments are. You dont have to put EVERYTHING in there from assignments but youll put pieces in so maybe just the artifacts I have will take up 6 pages.Obviously, you dont just say this and that, but those were just examples she gave me for when typing the paper.

She Also said this “Hi, everyone – I believe I’ve caught up on the grading. Though you can still go back and make adjustments to previous assignments, at this point I would focus more on your final paper. This is designed to be an open forum in which you explain what you have learned in this course, drawing from all of the materials – text, lecture, discussion, and assignments. You may use your assignments (artifacts) as illustrations to make your point. Though you may embed small portions of your assignments, for the most part you should include them in an appendix and refer to them in your narrative. Make sure you read it – or ask someone else to proof read it – and correct for grammar and logic.
Please…do not use AI for your paper. This isn’t a research paper; it is more of a reflection than an academic paper. You should be explaining – in your own words – how you have interpreted the course materials and how you relate it to your current experience or future career. You shouldn’t ask AI what you think, BUT, if you do, turn in your entire AI conversation (as always). Remember, this is a point of integrity.”

You can come up with something for my future career because it’s undecided, but I think I may want to open up my own gym or be a coach, just something in the athletic field.

The first attached document is the written assignments rubric that goes with the instructions below. After the first document i will add each assignment I completed for this class in order from week 1 to now. This modules has an assessment which asks you write a 750-word blog, record a 10-min podcast or produce a 3-min video.

Here are some guidelines for how you might approach this.

    Blog Posts

    1. How to Write a Blog Post for the Assessment

Writing a blog post for your module is an opportunity to engage deeply with the subject matter and share your unique perspective. To create an impactful post, begin by selecting a topic that closely aligns with the themes covered in the module. Your post should clearly demonstrate your understanding of the material and your ability to apply it thoughtfully. Avoid merely summarising existing studies or lecture content; instead, use these as a foundation to express your own ideas and interpretations. Show the logic behind your thoughts to make your arguments convincing and compelling.

A strong blog post requires a clear and focused narrative. Start by identifying the central message you want readers to take away. Use two or three well-chosen examples or arguments to support your main idea, and develop each point thoroughly. The goal is to demonstrate depth of knowledge through detailed discussion rather than trying to cover too many topics superficially. This focused approach not only strengthens your argument but also makes your post more engaging for your readers.

Consider your audience as you write. Provide enough context for readers to follow your discussion, especially if you are referencing topics that may be unfamiliar or specific to a certain region or discipline. For instance, if you are discussing issues in another country, explain the relevant background information so your readers can follow your analysis without making incorrect assumptions. Similarly, make any assumptions in your argument explicit and explain why they are valid. This clarity helps readers connect with your reasoning and avoids confusion.

Finally, aim to make your blog as reader-friendly as possible. Use clear and concise language, and structure your post with headings, short paragraphs, or bullet points to break up dense text. Thoughtful organisation and accessible writing ensure that your readers can fully engage with your ideas. By combining critical thinking, clear communication, and a reader-centred approach, your blog will effectively showcase your knowledge and your ability to synthesise and present complex ideas.

    2. Characteristics of Good Blogs

Creating a compelling blog requires a combination of thoughtful planning, clear communication, and engaging content. Start with a captivating title that immediately grabs attention and sparks curiosity. The first paragraph is equally important; it should clearly introduce the topic of your blog, explain why it is a relevant or pressing issue, and outline how you plan to approach it, particularly if you are focusing on a specific aspect. This sets the tone for your blog and draws readers into your argument or discussion.

Incorporating a range of prior studies is crucial for demonstrating the credibility of your argument. For a blog of around 750 words, aim to reference three to five studies that are directly relevant to your topic and approach. Dont limit yourself to studies that support your position; including findings that challenge or contrast with your perspective can make your discussion more robust. In addition to academic studies, consider using grey literature, such as reports from governments, intergovernmental organisations, or research bodies, to add depth to your analysis.

When using statistics, prioritise those that are recent, unless your argument specifically involves past trends or changes. Always interpret the numbers you present, explaining their significance in the context of your discussion. If you include tables or figures, take the time to adapt and present them in a way that is clear and accessible for your readers. Even if the data is reproduced from another source, reformat it to suit your blogs style and needs, ensuring to provide a proper reference that includes the original author, year, and page number. Every table and figure should have a meaningful caption and source attribution, and its essential to explain their relevance in your text before they appear.

A strong blog revolves around a clear central message. Focus on one issue and avoid overloading your blog with too many ideas or elements. Each statement you make should be well-elaborated, ensuring that you provide sufficient explanation and context for readers who may not have prior knowledge of the topic. Support your statements with evidence from prior studies to build credibility and depth.

Effective paragraph structure is key. Start each paragraph with a sentence that conveys the central idea of the paragraph. Conclude with a sentence that summarises the discussion and transitions smoothly to the next idea. Keep your paragraphs concise; a paragraph taking up more than a third of an A4 page may overwhelm blog readers. Short sentences and paragraphs improve readability and maintain engagement.

Visuals can greatly enhance your blog if used effectively. Choose images that align closely with your central message and ensure they are of reasonable resolution to avoid a pixelated or unprofessional appearance. Always include captions and source details for your images, and place them thoughtfully within your blog to complement the narrative.

By following these principles, your blog will leave readers with a clear understanding of your central message and a lasting impression of professionalism and thoughtfulness. A well-crafted blog doesnt just informit inspires, engages, and communicates with clarity and impact.
