    • Childhood and Delinquency: What if you were a juvenile justice court judge and you had some leeway in charging a youth with a status offense or regular criminal charges? • The Nature and Extent of Delinquency: Imagine you are in charge of policy at a correctional institution. You only have limited room and have to release some offenders. Considering all your offenders are of the chronic variety, how would you decide which offenders to release? Discuss your thought process.
    • Individual views on delinquency: What if you were in charge of a juvenile delinquency intervention program but only had limited funds. What would be the focus of your program? What steps would you take to ensure that it will be successful?
    • Sociological views of delinquency: Imagine you are a city planner and have been asked to design a city from scratch. Given what you know about social disorganization theory, what steps would you take to prevent neighborhoods that foster criminal behavior from forming? Is this a possible task?
