e submitted the project to our professor, but he said that there are some comments and that the proposal is currently not acceptable. We received feedback from our professor regarding the proposal, and these are the required modifications:

    1. Introduction: We need to add an introduction explaining the value of the project, who it targets, and a general overview of the idea.
    2. Problem Statement: We must clearly explain the problem and identify the gap that exists in similar projects or studies.
    3. Objectives: We need to include the main objective and also sub-objectives.
    4. Primary KPI: The primary KPI should be placed under the Methodology section. We should research a real system in practice that performs a similar task and include a realistic KPI based on that.
    5. The points should not be labeled as A, B, C. They should be numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.
    6. Inside the Methodology section, we must include:
      • Data Collection
      • Data Cleaning
    7. We also need to clearly define the Project Scope.
    8. Section F should be renamed to Methodology.

Please update the proposal according to these comments

Q1: A computer manufacturer needs 7,500 units of a component to complete an order for

distributor. If done in-house, the fixed cost would be$325,000 with variable cost at $25 per unit.

Alternative two is to outsource for a total cost of $75 per unit with a set-up/tooling cost of

$50,000 (fixed cost). The selling price for the item is $110. Answer the following questions:

    a. Determine the breakeven quantity for each alternative.

    b. Determine the breakeven quantity between the two alternatives. In other words, at what level

of production the company would be indifferent between outsourcing the order and in-house

    production.

    c. For the current order, should they make the item in-house or outsource it?

    d. At what order quantity would it become optimal to make the item in-house rather than

    outsourcing it?

Q2 :In 2017, the Restaurant Hospitality website reported that only 11% of surplus food is being

recovered in the food service and restaurant sector, leaving approximately 1.5 billion meals per

year uneaten. Assume that this is the true population proportion and that you plan to take a

sample survey of 525 companies in the food service and restaurant sector to further investigate

their behavior. You suspect that restaurants are doing a far better job in recovering surplus food

than what has been reported by the website.

Suppose that based on the sample you collected restaurants report an average of 59 surplus

meals per day of which an equivalent of 51 meals is thrown away. Respond to the following

    questions:

    a. Set up the research question and hypotheses.

    b. Calculate the p-value using the Norm.dist Excel command.

    c. What is your conclusion?

Create a Power BI dashboard and write a report based on analyzing the data provided below. The . The data fields have descriptive names. Here are two clarifications on the data field names.

    • Price is the price per gallon
    • Cost is the cost per gallon

Every set of data can tell many stories. You must analyze the data and select a story from the data. Never project your story onto the data. Focus your work on this case study on one story from the data.

Submit a report of fewer than eight pages. Use level one, two, and three headings as needed. Ensure you have an introduction and conclusion. Ensure you use visualizations (e.g. charts and graphs) to support your analysis. Ensure you properly cite visualizations you do not create.

    Requirements

    • Use Power BI to build your dashboard and analyze the data.
    • Your dashboard must include a minimum of four components (i.e. visualizations and/or tables) that illustrate the story the data is telling.
    • Your primary assignment is to build the dashboard and perform data analysis. And, you must write a report as the outcome of your data analysis.
    • Include one visualization of your entire dashboard and one visualization for each component in your dashboard. Each visualization should be full width, filling from left margin to right margin.
    • The visualizations should enhance the story in your narrative. Include a brief explanation of each visualization. Your explanation should draw the reader’s attention to the significant elements of the visualization that support the story. You should not explain everything in the visualization as if the visualization were not part of your report. The reader will have the visualization, so use the narrative to focus the reader’s attention.
    • APA version 7 format for the report.
      • Include a cover page and abstract.
      • Do not include a table of contents.
      • Use for guidance.

We would like you to prepare a Proposal and Sprint One for our graduation project. We only need the Proposal and Sprint One at this stage.

We need you to choose a topic related to Data Analysis that is suitable and practical for students in Saudi Arabia, and that we can realistically implement here.

Previously, we submitted a proposal, but our professor rejected it because it required a very large dataset, and companies are not willing to share their data with students. Therefore, we need a project idea that does not depend on restricted corporate data and can rely on publicly available or collectable data.

We do not want the project, proposal, or sprint to be extremely advanced or overly complex. We want it to clearly reflect that it is a student project strong and well-structured, but realistic and achievable, with room for normal student-level mistakes.

Please make sure the idea is practical, implementable, and academically solid.
