According to the National Institutes of Health, implicit bias is a form of bias that occurs automatically and unintentionally, that nevertheless affects judgments, decisions, and behaviors (n.d.). Everyone has implicit or unconscious bias, but it is not the same as explicit or conscious bias, which is associated with racism, sexism, and other biases. Studies have shown that implicit bias can negatively affect people and decisions in the workplacefrom hiring and promotion decisions to interactions with customers and colleagues. Awareness is a good first step towards managing and changing your biases.
In this assignment, you learn about and reflect on your implicit biases and how they might affect your judgment and decision-making. Your assignment should be an honest reflection of your implicit biases; you will not be judged based on the biases.
Access the Project Implicit website, read the Preliminary Information section, and then select I wish to proceed.
Complete at least 3 of the following tests and take notes of your results as you go:
Race IAT
Gender-Science IAT
Gender-Career IAT
Age IAT
Disability IAT
Sexuality IAT
Religion IAT
Weight IAT
Write a 525-word reflection in which you address the following questions:
What did the tests reveal about you in terms of your conscious and unconscious beliefs?
Do you agree with the test results? Why or why not?
How might your implicit biases affect your judgments or decisions in the workplace?
What are ways you can manage your biases and change your behavior?
Submit your reflection.

Two parts assignment
Part One
Concept Attainment Model – Integrating Technology/Media within Concept Mapping Lesson In this technical assignment, you will use the Concept Attainment Model to design a lesson that integrates technology/media resources. You will integrate concept mapping into the lesson. A Concept map must be attached/included. (Not a rubric for how it will be graded but the actual concept map.) The media or technology may be used to introduce the lesson, for skill development, formative assessment, etc. When you submit the lesson design, make sure that you have included necessary information (ppt file, link to a site you used, etc.) so that I can access the technology you have included. Evidence of students being challenged to do the following should be present in the unit: Build on students’ prior knowledge. Students will examine content from different perspectives. Students will explore relationships among concepts. Critical thinking is promoted. Students’ curiosity is engaged A template for this lesson plan is provided. I strongly encourage you to use the template to guide your work in order to ensure that the required components of the lesson are included. Make sure you go back and review the exemplar in PHASE ONE and design the lesson following that model throughout. Remember to complete the highlighted sections to include the research behind the use of the model. This accounts for 10% of the grade. Complete the template and submit in Canvas. Points–100
Part 2:
Use the link below to view the video on how is Technology Transforming Teaching and Classrooms? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeUEZaoCX9E&feature=youtu.be Summarize the video and select 3 key points that stood out to you and justify your reason(s) for the selection. Then explain which of the points selected has the most influence on your current instructional practices. Remember to include a cover page and a reference page Points–50
I have attached the rubric for part one, the template to use for part one, and Phase One and Two to refer back to, to help complete part one. Link is attached to help complete part 2.
