Assignment No. 3 Educ 471 issued on January 22, 2026
Hello Class,
I’m sorry that this assignment is one day late. I have a chronic health condition that forces me into hospitalization when things go awry.
This current assignment is for all students in my Educ 471. The assignment will be due on February 4, 5, or 6, 2026 without penalty. If you are a wise student, you will start working on this assignment as soon as possible. Here is what you will have to do for it:
Step 1 We start off today with my second lecture on applying anxiety… which will also be used directly as an assignment on performance anxiety in any classroom regardless of the subject matter, i.e., math, science, music, art, geography etc. I hope you will enjoy it. Some of it will be familiar to you as I refer once again to the chapter on anxiety in The Artist in Crisis. Take your time reading it but do start right away!
Step 2 Write a 500 word minimum – 1000 words maximum – reflection on how you would apply my lecture to your teaching. I realize that not all my students are teachers or prospective teachers. It is commonly but erroneously believed that prostitution is the oldest profession. A moment of quality thinking will reveal very quickly that teaching has that great honour and certainly not the sex trade. We are all potentially teachers whether we like it or not! If you will be a parent someday you will also have to be a teacher and hopefully a good one for the sake of your current or future children. And even if you do not plan to have children, you will still have to be a teacher sooner or later in your future or current workplace. No one escapes teaching!
Step 3 Write a 500 words minimum – 1000 words maximum – reflection on Platos Book 3 of his Republic. By reflection I mean what is the most important idea in this reading and how would you apply it to your teaching?
Step 4 Read Tasos Kazepides book entitled Education as Dialogue: Its prerequisites and its enemies: Chapter 3. Write 500 words minimum – 1000 words maximum – reflection on this second reading. By reflection I mean what did you find most interesting and/or significant about the reading. It would also be a good idea to review the pages before chapter 1 to better your orientation and understanding of the reading.
Step 5 We will take a break from reading Senyshyns book The Artist In Crisis at this time. We will postpone readings from it till next time. Im doing this to make your work manageable and pleasurable. But make sure you have finished reading the assigned chapter on anxiety from the last assignment.
Step 6 This is an optional assignment for those students who viewed the highly acclaimed movie Zorba the Greek” and wish to get further bonus marks. My new students should refer to my Bonus section of the previous assignment for notes about this Oscar winning film. If you chose not to see the film last time you can still choose to see it now and proceed with this current optional assignment for a bonus mark. [For my new students: By bonus marks I mean that if you received a B for the first assignment you will receive a B+. If you received a B+ for the first assignment you will be bumped up to A-; if you received an A- grade for the first assignment you will be bumped up to an A. If you received an A you will be bumped up to A+. If you received an A+ you will be bumped up to A++. (I’m serious!).]
If you choose to write again or for the first time on the video movie then provide a 750 words minimum – 1000 words maximum answer to this question on the movie “Zorba the Greek”. Write a reflection on the issues of gender equality i.e., inequality obviously as shown in the film and how this would apply to your teaching or writing a curriculum. Hint: your main focus will be on the young Widow and the owner of the hotel, Madame Hortense, and their relationships with Zorba, the Boss and their community. There is very much to learn from this film. If you can make the extra effort you will definitely be that much of a better and wiser person.
Step 7 Once you have completed Assignment 3 please send it to me by email. The Subject of your email will be Assignment No. 3 Educ 471-01 or 471-02 issued on January 22, 2026. This is very important! I will be receiving emails from over 75 students. You can imagine what a nightmare it can be if you do not take this step!
Step 8 Make certain that you send me three separate assignments, and, if you wish, a fourth optional assignment on the video in PDF and Word format. The first assignment will be called Lecture on Creative Teaching Assignment. The second assignment will be called Plato Book 3 Assignment. The third assignment will be called Kazepides Chapter 3 Assignment. The fourth optional assignment – if you choose to do it – will be entitled: Zorba Bonus 2 Assignment.
Just a reminder that there will not be an assignment issued during Reading Week in February.
I need you follow the insturction and finish the assignment ,step 2 for 500 words , step3 for 500 words, step 4 for 500 words.
No ai No cheating ,give me on time

Discussion
The goal in education is successful outcomes; success for the student, the program and the institution. One way to help achieve success is to carefully design the student learning environment. Your Unit 1 readings refer to practical ways to create an environment conducive to learning. All dental hygiene programs across the United States must meet accreditation standards set forth by the for Dental Hygiene Programs. During this course, we will be referring to the CODA document as you develop your practical, evidence-based teaching strategies in clinical education. The CODA standards are important to understand and follow. Every dental hygiene program must receive official accreditation approval and then it is important for each program to follow the standards during the day-to-day operations of the program. All dental hygiene educators are expected to know, understand, and follow these standards. Every team member plays a role in this process…from part-time to full-time.
For your Main Post, research and address the prompts below as you refer to the CODA document and engage in the unit discussion:
Discuss practical ways to create an environment that is conducive to learning that also meets the CODA standards.
- It will be important to download and save the CODA standards as we will refer to them throughout this course and it is truly the roadmap for all programs.
- What do you remember from your first semester of dental hygiene school?
- Do you remember the Program Director and Faculty referring to the CODA standards throughout your curriculum?
- Based on your Chapter 1 readings about creating an effective learning environment, provide some examples of how you would prepare for a new class.
- If you were designing an effective learning environment, how you would meet each of these standards (Provide a 2-3 sentence paragraph for each standard).
- Number of enrolled students (Standard 2-5)
- Initial written and oral communications (Standard 2-6 and 2-7)
- Student to faculty ratios (Standard 3-5)
- Safety (Standard 3-10)
- Clinic Facilities (Standard 4-1)

Facebook as an educational tool
Read Facebook: a potentially valuable education tool? Then, in your Original Response, do two things: 1. Summarize and Respond (as shown in Organizing a Summary.pdf) You may use this template in your response portion: Authors’ names stated ______________ about Facebook being a potential educational tool. I agree/disagree or I think this is right/wrong because ______. You may of course vary the template, but this will get you started. 2. Include at least one (1) in-text citation in the response portion of your summary & response. 3. Reply substantively to two peers. Discussions are 15 points. In order to receive the full participation points: Post one original response to the prompt/instructions (10 points), and Reply at least twice substantively to a peer’s posting (5 points). The Substantive Response looks something like this: a) Summarize the writer’s point you wish to respond to, b) respond to it, and then c) ask a question so that the original writer or someone else can respond.Attached Files (PDF/DOCX): SummaryResponse.pdf

Classroom rules and routines powerpoint
Rules and routines play a crucial role in the development of a classroom management plan. Rules and routines provide students with a safe, predictable, and proactive environment that helps prevent undesired behaviors, and supports the development of emotional stability.
Create a 10-12 slide digital presentation for other early childhood educators that explains the importance of classroom rules, routines, and procedures and how they support a positive classroom environment. Differentiate how this will look in a birth-age 2, preschool, and K-3 environment. Include the following in your presentation for each age/grade range:
