This is a persuasive essay that needs to be in MLA format. It needs to be about how smartphone can affect children under the age of 13 in a negative way and why they should be banned. It needs to sound like a high schooler wrote this.

This is assignment will mirror the Rhetorical Analysis essay from ENG 101. However, instead of analyzing rhetorical elements, we will analyze the literary elements. In a 700 800 word essay, present an argument/thesis about one of the short stories by performing a close-reading. A close reading is making observations about the language, structure, techniques, and patterns of small passages in a work, creating interpretations about those observations, and then connecting your interpretation back to the larger work. Essentially you will be answering the following questions: What are some important passages in the short story? What do these passage mean? Why is it important to the rest of the short story? It is recommended that you analyze at least 3 passages (Ranging from 3 sentences to the whole paragraph) from the text, though more is encouraged.
