Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to tell a story about an experience in your community that you had during the course of a single day that brought about notable personal change. The day might have altered your perspective completely, or it may have been the first step towards a meaningful, long-term change in your perspective. In five pages, you will explore what you learned from the experience by chronologically detailing the events that led to the change/lesson that defines the entire narrative. In short, what did you learn from the overall occurrence, how does the experience of that occurrence continue to affect you, and how did that day bring you closer to your community?

I have to write an essay about a volunteer scuba diving experience where I helped clean trash from deep inside the harbor. 5 to 6 pages

The essay will describe what happened during the dive, the environment underwater, and the type of trash we removed, using realistic details.

have to include short and natural dialogue between me and my diving partner to make the story feel real.

The dialogue will be very short, no more than five lines, and written in separate lines as required.

At the end of the essay, have write two reflection paragraphs that focus on what how does the experience of that occurrence continues to affect me, and how did that day bring you closer to the diving community? these reflection paragraphs will be placed before the conclusion and on a separate full page.

In Essay 2 I intend to write my essay based on the use of social media by teenagers.

Side A will argue that social media offers students advantages like being able to connect to their friends, show their creativity, and connect with their peers by finding others who have the same interests. Many teenagers feel as though they are experiencing social acceptance and engagement due to the use of social media.

On Side B I will discuss the disadvantages to teen usage of social media such as added daily stress, potential mental health impacts, poor sleep quality or duration, comparison with others, and exposure to negative content. Current literature suggests that heavy or addictive usage of social media correlates with negative psychological effects for youth.

In this assignment, you will build on what you have learned in the first modules of this course and submit your persuasive essay project draft. Creating a draft is an important part of the academic writing process as it allows your instructor to provide specific feedback on how to strengthen your argument, how to better reach your audience, and whether your sources support your argument. Creating a draft is also crucial to the academic writing process as it allows you to articulate your ideas and thoughts in an organized structure so that you can rethink your main ideas and rewrite them in a way that makes your argument more persuasive.

Directions

For this project draft, you will submit the first draft of your essay. You will use at least one source from the Project Resources and two sources that you find through your own research using the Shapiro Library to support your essay. This essay will become Part Two of the project that will be submitted in Module Seven.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
