  • Ethical failures and corruption in leadership and organizati…

In this essay assignment, you will explore this subject further by selecting at least two cases like those reviewed in this module to evaluate in greater depth. You may choose one case from this module, if you care to, and then another of your own choosing, one where an ethical dilemma or relationship can be identified and associated with corruption or bad judgement. If you are having difficulty selecting at least one more case to write about, contact your instructor. You should draw on materials widely available to you in the course as well as any credible and high-quality outside sources. Before beginning this essay assignment, make sure to read the Module Notes carefully and you will want to access the Readings, Viewings and Materials page for further review. Write an essay of approximately 500 words in length (approximately 2 pages of doubled-spaced and 12 point font of text) using APA format. In your essay, draw on as many significant examples as are appropriate while fully answering the following questions: What was the nature of the judgment that was corrupted in the ethical instances, decisions, or cases you examined? Describe the event as briefly as needed to get at the motivation of the key actors. What were the consequences of these breaches? For example, what public trust trespasses occurred and how consequential were they? Finally, how might the bad judgments you have evaluated have come out differently, what possible solutions to the corrupting factors can you identify? To successfully complete this assignment, you will need to organize your responses to the questions posed above, and then craft a formatted essay that includes each of the following: A title page; Well-developed introductory paragraph explaining the purpose of the essay and briefly referencing some of the main points/contentions offered in the work; The body of the assignment should consist of your effort to best answer the primary questions from the assignment prompt and should consist of approximately 500 words of text (approximately 2 pages of double-spaced and 12 point font of text). Though the method by which this is done is largely up to you, it is essential that the responses to the questions in the prompt be based upon scholarly readings and should remain at all times defensible (in an academic sense). You have a great deal of information to draw from in creating your essay, including the assigned and optional readings as well as many references in the module notes. As is the case with every assignment in BNS301, presenting any unsubstantiated, illogical, or indefensible position will have an adverse effect on the final grade. Please direct any questions regarding these expectations to the instructor; A concise concluding paragraph that briefly restates both the purpose of the essay as well as some of the primary argument offered by you, the papers author. Be sure the concluding paragraph does not introduce new information; Required Reading: Module Notes: Ethical Failures in Leaders and Organizations Bond, J. (2007). In other words, how does their reply help you. Here is the question: In what specific ways did you see an ethics of control and an ethics of risk in the video dealing with South Africa? (Our aim is to develop an understanding of what these two ethics are, appreciating that later, we will talk about how an ethics of risk is part of an ethics for Transformative Leadership).
