Third, you will discuss at least 3 of the Language and Literacy Preschool Learning Foundations addressed through the books and vocabulary you have selected for this content area. When introducing a PTKLF include the strand, sub-strand and foundation. Lastly, you will discuss the types of assessment you can use for this content area. Your discussion should include either a formal (commercially produced) or an informal classroom assessment that evaluates childrens learning and understanding in this content area. Give a detailed example of the assessment you have chosen that relates to either the activities or books you have chosen for this content area. You should provide examples for at least 2 children’s responses to the assessment. These responses should be presented in a table. Include a reference page for all work cited.

  • Treatment Planning- Discussion Board Assignment 2

After reading Chapter six, return to the case of Denise and complete the progress note template for one of the 3 sessions described in the case study. Attach the completed template to your post and include a brief narrative sharing what it was like to write the note, including what questions you have about progress notes at this point. Complete the template to the extent possible based on the information provided in the PDF. Feel free to add something if you think it’s relevant, and something you would consider implementing – just mention that in the narrative of your post. The goal of this is to practice writing progress notes and to see how different they may look based on the individual completing them. Please label your post with which session you are focusing on in your progress note.

    I need this re wrote

    Discussion Post: Counseling Theories

At this point, my primary theory would be person centered therapy. I am drawn to this approach because it focuses on empathy, respect, and creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. Person centered therapy emphasizes the importance of the relationship between the counselor and the client and believes that people have the ability to grow and make positive changes when they feel understood and accepted. This perspective connects with my personal values and my future goals of working in human services, where building trust with clients is very important.

One advantage of practicing within one theoretical perspective is that it provides structure and direction for the counselor. Having a clear framework can help guide decisions and increase confidence when working with clients. However, one disadvantage is that no single theory can fully address the complexity of human behavior or meet the needs of every client. People come from different backgrounds and experiences, so relying on only one theory may limit flexibility and effectiveness in some situations.

Although I identify most with person centered therapy, I would also integrate aspects of other theories into my approach. For example, I would include cognitive behavioral techniques to help clients understand how their thoughts affect their emotions and behaviors. I would also use some solution focused strategies, such as helping clients identify their strengths and set realistic goals. Combining different approaches would allow me to better meet the individual needs of clients.

One potential difficulty when integrating elements from different theoretical models is that some theories may have different assumptions about how change happens. Counselors also need proper training and experience to use multiple approaches effectively, which can be challenging when you are still learning. Without enough knowledge, integration could lead to confusion or inconsistency. Even with these challenges, using ideas from different theories can provide more flexibility and help counselors respond to a wider range of client needs.
