    • Results of any needs assessments completed or recommended
    • Theoretical underpinnings in support of the initiative
    • Program planning and development processes

My part I need to work on is slides 12-16 starting with program planning and ending with evaluation methods.

I’ve also included the group initiaitve we came up with.

I am needing for those slides to be a little more detailed and include speaker notes. Please let me know if you have any questions . You can place the editing on a new slide deck!

Communication in Action The Power of Customer Service

This week, we are focusing on communication in action especially in real-world workplace situations. In healthcare, strong communication is essential to quality service, patient satisfaction, and even safety. Poor communication, on the other hand, can leave a lasting negative impression.

    Instructions:

    1. Find a short YouTube video (25 minutes) that shows either excellent or poor customer service. This can be from any industry restaurant, retail, hospitality, or healthcare as long as it highlights clear communication behaviors.
    2. In your post:
    • Briefly summarize the video (include the link).
    • Describe how communication (verbal and/or nonverbal) impacted the customers experience.
    • Reflect on how it made you feel as the observer.
    • If this occurred in a healthcare setting, would you return as a patient? Would you recommend the facility to others?
    • Finally, explain what should have been done differently (if it was a negative interaction) OR what was done well (if it was a positive one).

Reply to at least one classmate and share whether you agree with their take on the situation. Would you have responded the same way as the customer?

Reminder: In healthcare, the patient is always the customer. Think about how every word, gesture, and expression we use communicates a message even when we dont realize it!

  • Proposed Solution, Implementation, and Evaluation

The final capstone project is a series of written research-based assignments completed throughout this course that culminate in a final evidenced-Based Proposal paper and presentation. Students are encouraged to share their completed proposals with a health care organization that could benefit from the proposal. For this fourth assignment, you will present the proposed solution for your evidence-based intervention and outline the implementation and evaluation plan.

    Proposal

In 100-250 words, present a detailed explanation of your proposed solution (new policy, process, procedure, or education that addresses the problem or issue you identified for your project). Include rationale for why you selected proposed solution. The proposed solution should be based on the support indicated in the literature review.

    Preparing an Implementation Plan

Develop an implementation plan (500-750 words). The elements that should be included in your plan are listed below:

    1. Strategies for obtaining necessary approval(s) and securing support from your organization’s leadership and fellow staff. If you are proposing a change in current policy, process, or procedure, first describe the current policy, process, or procedure as a baseline for comparison.
    2. Description of implementation. (When and how will the change be integrated into the current organizational structure, culture, and workflow? Who will be responsible for initiating the change, educating staff, and overseeing the implementation process?)
    3. Resources required for implementation: stakeholders; assessment tools (questionnaires, surveys, pretests and posttests to assess knowledge of participants at baseline and after intervention); technology (technological or software needs); funds (cost of educating staff, printing or producing educational materials, gathering and analyzing data before, during, and following implementation); and staff to initiate, oversee, and evaluate change.

    Evaluation Plan

Prepare an evaluation plan (500-750 words) supported by your critical analysis of the literature.

    1. Discuss methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your proposed solution.
    2. Describe what your projected outcomes will be and what variables will be assessed.

    General Requirements

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

  • Risk management strategies in health care organizations

The purpose of this assignment is to create an educational program that supports the implementation of risk management strategies in a health care organization. In this assignment, you will develop an “inservice”style educational risk management program presentation for the employer and employees of a particular health care organization. Select your topic for this educational session from one of the proposed recommendations or changes you suggested in the Topic 1 benchmark assignment to enhance, improve, or secure compliance standards in your chosen risk management plan example. Develop a 10-12-slide presentation (including a title slide, a reference slide, and slide notes that provide a detailed explanation of your research) that outlines the following points about your chosen topic: Introduction: Identify the risk management topic you have chosen to address and explain why it is important within your health care sector. Rationale: Explain how this risk management strategy is lacking within your selected organization’s current risk management plan and describe how its responsibility for implementation will better meet local, state, and federal compliance standards. Support: Provide data that indicate the need for this proposed risk management initiative and explain how it falls under the organization’s legal responsibility to provide a safe health care facility and work environment. Implementation: Describe the steps to implement the proposed strategy in your selected health care organization. Challenges: Predict obstacles the health care organization may face in executing this risk management strategy and challenges for building a culture of faith, compassion, and concern for patients, families, and employees, and propose solutions to navigate or preempt these potentially difficult outcomes. Evaluation: Outline your plan to evaluate the success of the proposed risk management program and how well it meets compliance with operational risk management policies in the organization’s short-term, long-term, and end goals, which includes key employer and employee metrics that will be used for measuring the success of the risk management program. Opportunities: Recommend additional risk management improvements in adjacent areas of influence that the organization could or should address moving forward. In addition to your textbook and the GCU “Statement on the Integration of Faith and Work,” you are required to support your analysis with at least three credible health-related resources and at least three peer-reviewed resources. Refer to the resource, “Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations,” located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this assignment in the appropriate style. While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

    Activity 2:

Guidelines for preparation of the research review paper

Research papers should be selected from scientific journals that have articles on macro, micro, and ultra-trace minerals. Only primary research articles should be used. No books or review papers will be accepted. If in doubt, check with Dr. Baum. Please do not quote magazines and newspapers. Use only the most recent issues, 2014 to date. The research paper needs to be divided into the following sections:

    • Introduction, objective, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion
    • The paper should be typed, double-spaced and not exceed 10 pages
    • Use Arial font, size 11
    • 15 original research articles will be reviewed in the results, conclusion, and discussion sections. The references need to be cited throughout the paper, with a references section at the end (using programs such as Mendeley, RefWorks, or EndNote can help make this easier)
    • All references need to be original research papers (NO REVIEWS). Read review papers to see how to write one; however, reviews and meta-analyses should not be used as your MAIN sources, since a review paper gives interpretations and conclusions unique to the authors writing it. HOWEVER, reviews can be used a supplementary sources for the literature review and/or discussion beyond the 15 original research articles you will be reviewing
    • You need to provide your own interpretation and conclusion based on the papers you are quoting. An example of a review paper is on your Canvas. You can also check the review papers on your topic; however, they cannot be a part of your 15 references. Copying the material or sentences from the references into your research papers is not allowed.

Note from the student: Hi, I will attach a one-page concept paper that includes the topic, brief summary, and 5 references. This was an assignment prior this one. Inside you will find the references for this assignment. Thank you, dont hesitate to ask for anything.

Also please, if possible, citation in AMA style. 🙂

  • Quality Improvement Report

This Individual Project (IP) builds upon your work in Unit 1 and 2.

In response to the boards request for the initiation and execution of quality programs, you appointed a task force for quality improvement to address the boards accountability concerns and to implement the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) quality initiatives, and the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) initiatives, and the six safety culture domains by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). You and the task force will create a quality improvement report for the board that includes the following:

    1. Summary of the agenda for the hospital by the task force
    2. Role of governing boards in quality care and hospital governance
    3. Quality and patient safety initiatives promoted by healthcare organizations
    4. Stakeholders and drivers of quality care in hospitals
    5. ACHE Leadership Safety Culture Domains for healthcare organizations
    6. Four levels and six aims for quality improvements in healthcare as advanced by the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), formerly the Institute of Medicine (IoM)
    7. Barriers to quality improvement
    8. Accreditation organizations and what programs they accredit

Deliverable Requirements: The quality improvement report should address the points above in at least 5 pages (title and reference pages are not counted in the page requirement) and cite 5 sources in APA format.

The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5 pages. In-body academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety of academic sources is encouraged.
    • Reference page: References that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format using appropriate spacing, hanging indent, italics, and uppercase and lowercase usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the Reference page is not a bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-body citation.
