    In early December of 2010, Antonio Martinez was arrested after authorities say he tried to blow up a Catonsville military recruiting center using a car bomb supplied by undercover agents.

    In June of 2011, Yonathan Melaku, was allegedly linked to a a series of shootings last fall that targeted the Pentagon, the National Museum of the Marine Corps, a Marine Corps recruiting center and a Coast Guard facility in Virginia. Melaku was identified after triggering a terror alert at Arlington National Cemetery.

    Your assignment is to write a paper detailing the three incidents listed above. After providing details of all three incidents, use your critical thinking skills to identify actions that the State of Maryland could take to prevent attacks of this nature from people who appear, at this point, to be acting alone. Your ideas can involve anything that you believe can honestly be done to keep the citizens of the State of Maryland safe. Remember that the 9/11 Commission stated that our biggest failure in preventing the attacks of September 11th was the “failure to use our imagination”.
