HRM 200 Project Two Guidelines and Rubric

    Competency

In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competency:

    • Explain the purpose and use of total rewards

    Scenario

You are a human resources professional who works for a start-up company. As is typical for a start-up, the company needs to offset the costs of starting a new business with lower compensation. They intend to do this by designing a new total rewards package. Total rewards packages can be used to attract and retain talent by offering them desirable benefits in addition to their salary. Your manager has asked for your input on what to include in the new package. Senior management is concerned that the current total rewards package is not attractive enough to a distributed workforce. Your manager has tasked you with creating a proposal summary that will contain your recommendations for a new total rewards program. You will include a brief overview of a total rewards package and its purpose, as well as why it adds value to the company. Your manager will use these recommendations in their presentation to senior management.

    Directions

Create a proposal summary that will contain your recommendations for a total rewards program. Use the Project Two Template, provided in the What to Submit section, for your proposal summary. You will include foursuggested total rewards components for the new program in the Talent Retention section of your document. Each component should contain the title of the item, describe what it is, and explain why this component would be attractive to current and prospective employees. You should summarize your proposal with an explanation of the employee value proposition (EVA) and how it relates to total rewards.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

    1. Total Rewards: Define the concept of total rewards and its purpose.
    2. Explain why a company would use a total rewards package.
    3. Discuss how total rewards is important for employee retention.
    4. Discuss why total rewards packages are valuable to an employer.
    5. Total Rewards Package: Explain the components of a total rewards package.
    6. Describe the different parts of a total rewards package and what value they bring to the company.
    7. Differentiate between monetary and non-monetary rewards.
    8. Talent Retention: Explain how total rewards components are used to attract and retain talent.
    9. Give four examples of suggested total rewards components and why they might be attractive to an employee.
    10. Consider how additional incentives might affect talent retention.

    Details

UnVRap, a B2B VR SAAS company specializing in virtual reality exposure therapy for phobias, seeks to enhance its recruitment process by refining job descriptions. The goal is to ensure that these descriptions are legally compliant, clear, and effective in attracting qualified psychology professors for clinical trials. Deliverables

The project will result in updated job descriptions that comply with legal standards and are optimized for clarity and managerial effectiveness. Deliverables include a comprehensive template and style guide, a gap analysis report with recommendations for improvement, and a standardized format for future job descriptions. These deliverables will ensure that UnVRap’s recruitment process is both legally compliant and effective in attracting the right candidates.

  • week 6 discussion

The number and magnitude of data breaches have been increasing at retailers, banks, government agencies, and other institutions. The management team at your company has decided to develop plans for dealing with data security breaches. Because your company has many employees who telecommute and you employ a high percentage of contract and temporary employees, there are many factors to consider.

    • What policies would you recommend to help ensure that insiders (including direct and indirect workers) do not steal sensitive corporate data or compromise the integrity of the computer system?
    • Write a suggested computer and data access procedure when an employee (including direct and indirect workers) terminates. What steps should be taken to protect the companys IT data?
  • COMMUNICATING CHANGE

    COMMUNITICATING CHANGE Discussion

Instructions I NEED THIS DISCUSSION POST ANSWERED

THE POST BELOW IS A DISCUSSION POST WITH THE TOPIC OF THE WEEK. I WILL ATTACH THIS WEEK’S LESSON, LINKS, DOCUMENTS, SCREEN SHOTS. PLEASE REFERENCE THE BOOK, MOSTLY.

    THIS WEEKS POST TO ANSWER:

Communicating change before and after implementation can be challenging for organizations and, in some cases, more complex than implementing the change itself (Palmer et al., 2022). The primary challenge centers around the level of involvement employees have prior, during, and after a change(s) has taken place in an organization. There is a difference between disgruntled staff who are disengaged and actively disengaged. Therefore, leaders must address employee concerns, and allow for employee engagement throughout the change process. Answer the following questions in your initial discussion post:

    • How comfortable are you with accepting unanticipated organizational changes?
    • How might leaders support employees in adopting new behaviors aligned with organizational change efforts?
    • Share an example where embracing a growth mindset helped you adapt to an organizational change.
