Context: Data Warehousing in the Age of Big Data

In the world of Big Data and Data Analytics, the Data Warehouse has become a powerful tool. It grew out of operational databases into its present form and serves as the foundation for business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

    Career Relevance

Today, related skills such as Hadoop and SQL are highly sought after, with a promise for great career opportunities. Understanding data warehousing concepts is foundational for roles in data analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering.

    A Word of Caution

However, companies must be cautious before simply diving into promising information technology marvels. As with any major IT initiative, understanding the framework for success and the potential pitfalls is essential before implementation.

    Your Task: Critique the Framework

The article presents three cases in light of a framework for data warehousing. Your task is to critique this framework by addressing the following:

    1. Strengths: What are the framework’s strengths? What does it do well?
    2. Weaknesses: What do you think are its weaknesses? Where does it fall short?
    3. Suggestions for Improvement:What specific and clear suggestions can you offer to improve the framework?

Tips for Writing a Strong Critique

    • Be specific: Don’t just say “the framework is weak” explain exactly which component is weak and why
    • Use the cases: Reference the three cases presented in the article to support your critique
    • Be constructive: Your suggestions should be actionable improvements, not just complaints
    • Consider context: Think about how the framework might apply differently in various organizational contexts

    SKILL YOU’RE BUILDING

This assignment develops critical evaluation of frameworks and models the ability to assess the strengths and limitations of established business frameworks rather than accepting them at face value. In the real world, no framework is perfect, and your value as a manager comes from knowing when a model applies, when it doesn’t, and how to adapt it to your specific context.

How this helps with IT decisions:

Vendors and consultants will present you with frameworks, methodologies, and “best practices” for data warehousing, analytics, and AI initiatives. Your ability to critically evaluate these frameworks identifying what’s useful, what’s missing, and what needs adaptation for your organization separates informed decision-makers from those who blindly follow consultant recommendations.

  • Disseminating Project

After completing the Final Research Paper, you must decide how you would disseminate the results of your research findings to the general public or stakeholders (consumers, caregivers, etc.). You may utilize an op-ed, podcast, or infographic to disseminate these findings. Your dissemination project should be a minimum of two-pages, with a clearly identified target audience indicated within the product. Use appropriate APA citations (as applicable), and ensure that you include the following components: Who is the intended audience? What was your research question (make sure you write this for the intended audience)? What were your findings (make sure you write this in non-expert terms)? Why is this important for your intended audience? Why is this important for social work practice? please review infographic example uploaded
  • Information Systems Managment Chapter 1

Think about the jobs you have held in the past, and then describe one business problem that the organization faced that could be solved with the application of new or improved technology. For that business problem, list and describe specific issues pertaining to each of the following factors: organization, technology, and people.

    Note:

    1. Follow assignment instructions.
    2. Review and follow the grading rubric criteria.
    3. Follow proper APA format guidelines.
    4. Write a minimum of three full pages.

During my time as a TWIC Badge Import Driver at Jaxport in Jacksonville, a significant business problem the organization faced was its reliance on outdated, manual processes that left the entire import vehicle operation struggling to keep up with modern logistics demands. From an organizational standpoint, there was no centralized dispatch or routing system in place, meaning vehicle flow from the import lot to the automotive finishing shop and finally to the CDL load line depended entirely on supervisors physically directing drivers creating congestion, idle time, and a pipeline that simply could not scale efficiently. From a technology standpoint, there was no digital tracking system following individual vehicles from the moment they came off the ship, making it nearly impossible to identify bottlenecks, maintain an accurate chain of custody for high-value imported vehicles, or generate any meaningful performance data to drive improvements. From a people standpoint, drivers had no standardized communication tools, so critical updates about lot changes, vehicle conditions, or routing adjustments were passed along informally and verbally leading to frequent miscommunication, misplaced vehicles, and a workforce that was constantly reacting to problems rather than working within a reliable, well-supported system.

You may use my resume for consise details and info you may need.

Please include a couple sources but not too many and dont go over the top. i do want to pass on this assignment but if you make it too good its not beliveable that i wrote it.
