  • Legal and ethical dilemmas in educational leadership

As an educational leader, you will be faced with a wide range of legal and ethical dilemmas as part of your professional practice. Being able to apply personal character, practical wisdom, and discernment in making decisions that demonstrate best practices and the best interest of all stakeholders can be challenging, particularly when the path to resolution may not be clear or may conflict with personal values and morals. Developing the ability to advocate for and model virtuous actions can help you to gain the trust of organizational stakeholders and help you build trust in those you are leading. Select a recent (within the last 3 years) educational issue that poses both legal and ethical dilemmas for those in leadership positions and has resulted in legal action being taken. Research the associated legal case and analyze the facts and details related to it. In a 750-1,000 word reflection, address the following: Summarize the educational issue by describing the legal and ethical dilemmas and associated legal action and cases related to the issue. Describe specific actions that could have been taken in the situation to demonstrate ethical behavior in personal conduct and relationships and cultivate ethical behavior in others. Include a discussion about how the lack of ethical behavior contributed to the dilemma and associated legal action. Consider your own future professional practice and describe specific guidelines you intend to follow to employ ethical decision-making strategies. Include a discussion about why leading by example is crucial to maintaining the ethical integrity of the organization. Explain why as an education leader you must advocate for and model virtuous actions that demonstrate respect for the diversity of others in the pursuit of the common good. Include a discussion about how applying character strengths or virtues could diminish the potential ethical and legal dilemmas in the educational issue you researched. Review your dilemma and determine whether the outcome would be different if you worked for a different school setting (i.e., private versus public versus charter versus virtual versus multi-age). Explain what differences would exist, if any, and why. Support the reflection with a minimum of three scholarly resources.

  • Answering to a Peer.

Please help with writing a response to this. Thanks,

One area of my writing that needs improvement is structuring my arguments more cohesively. Often, I have rich ideas but struggle to organize them logically into a compelling narrative. Additionally, integrating sources effectively and ensuring I correctly attribute credit while maintaining my original voice are skills Im working to refine. To further develop my writing skills, I plan to engage more deeply with academic writing resources, including style guides and writing workshops specific to doctoral students. Seeking feedback from peers and mentors is another strategy I believe will be beneficial; having others review my work can illuminate areas I might overlook. Regular practice is also key. Committing to writing consistently, whether through journaling about my research process or drafting sections of my papers, will help in developing fluency and confidence in my writing style. Improving my writing skills plays a significant role in countering the impostor phenomenon. As I become more proficient in articulating my thoughts and arguments, I expect to feel more confident in my abilities as a scholar. Mastering the art of academic writing will allow me to express my ideas clearly, reinforcing my sense of competence and authority in the subject matter. I believe that acknowledging areas for improvement and actively developing those skills can significantly boost our confidence as academic writers. By focusing on crafting clear, well-structured arguments and engaging more deeply with the writing process, we can combat feelings of inadequacy and empower ourselves as scholars (Pmproofreading, 2025).

  • Workplace issues and trends in management and HR

You have acquired a vast knowledge about multiple topics relevant to managers and HR professionals. As managers and HR professionals, we must be proactive in addressing possible opportunities and threats in our environments (internal and external), and prepare for possible catalysts of change. If not prompted to by senior management, we should identify and define the challenges, opportunities, and threats in both our internal and external environments, how will these impact the organization, and provide solutions in which the organization can implement. For your final paper, you are being asked to weigh in on an issue or trend (some examples below do not limit yourself to this list). Consider including the following elements in your paper: defining and educating management exactly what the challenge or trend is, analyzing and discussing the implications for organizations, and what can be done. Do not limit yourself in your approach and elements, as you want to make sure that the executive management has the needed information to decide or act. If you have questions or are unsure of your approach, please let me know so we can work on a solution that will be beneficial and give you the immediate takeaways you can implement if needed. Examples of Issues and Trends: Addressing the organizations skill gaps Supporting managers managers are employees too Balancing remote working and returning to work environment Artificial intelligence in the workplace Work-life balance outweighs wages as a motivator or does it, is it a generational challenge, all level of employees or ??? Employee disengagement why? Diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are negatively impacting the company culture more than helping Performance reviews are outdated and ineffective Inability for employees and departments to work collaborative and effectively Employee retention Skill-based hiring Multiple generations in the Workforce (i.e., life longevity means multiple and long careers) Modernizing employment-based immigration Creating flexible work schedules and environments Investing in mental health and wellbeing of employees Upskilling the workforce to meet advances in technology Preventing employee burnout People Analytics to Analytics for the People Increase States’ Acceptance of Recreational Cannabis Use You can also look to an issue or need within your organization that needs attention Or, simply Google the statement, Workplace issues or similar verbiage to see if you find a topic that inspires you. Additional Assignment Guidance: Your paper should be a minimum of 8 pages in APA format (excluding title page and references) but encouraged use the number of pages needed to complete your assignment and address each of the elements effectively. NO ABSTRACT IS REQUIRED You need to use a minimum of 8 sources. Remember, for every source, you will have at least one citation. You cite information that is 1) not common knowledge, 2) paraphrased, and 3) directly quoted. Submit your work as an MS WORD ATTACHMENT in either a .doc, .docx, or .rtf format. You are encouraged to use subheadings. A subheading reflects the content that follows. Subheadings provide a point of reference for the reader as well as guide the reader through your paper. If you do not have a clear thesis or your introduction is a bit complicated, the reader spends time guessing and is unclear as to what they are reading and why. Some Additional Writing tips: When making a point, one of the most common mistakes is not to offer enough details. A paragraph without much detail will seem vague and incomplete. A paper is always strengthened when your claims are as specific as possible, the more detailed evidence you offer, and the more reference points your reader will have. Remember that you are communicating your understanding to a reader who has only your description to go by. Third person is preferred in academic writing. Use first-person perspective where applicable and appropriate, i.e., describing your own role, distinguishing from your point of view and others, referring to your actions, or writing is reflective or contains personal elements, otherwise use 3rd person. A flat statement of your intentions in the composition is called an announcement, which weakens the introduction. Try introducing the subject more temptingly, piquing the reader’s interest. Avoid anthropomorphisms (attributing human characteristics to nonhuman or inanimate objects). Consider that no report can “address.” When writing an introduction, some approaches are best avoided. Avoid starting sentences with The purpose of this essay is . . . or In this essay I will . . . or any similar flat announcement of your intention or topic.
  • Week 6 DQ KD

A well-designed performance management system will link to an organization’s systems, such as the strategic planning process, total rewards (a.k.a. total compensation), employee training and development, succession planning, and HRIS. In addition, there are many different approaches to performance management. Although one would like to assume that there is a “best way”, the organization needs to evaluate the cost and benefits of their plans. Elements of a performance management plan include goal setting, performance review, and performance improvement plans.

Remember that performance evaluations are not the same as performance management.
