    High-leverage practices (HLPs) in special education have been developed to help provide guidance and support to educators who work with students with disabilities. These practices have been determined to be highly effective and critical to the success of students with disabilities when successfully implemented. The goal of the HLP assignments in this course is to introduce you to these practices through exploration of research that aims to improve student outcomes in special education. In this assignment, your topic is High-Leverage Practices in Instruction. You may create a poster, develop a “Padlet” or record a screen/podcast discussion or presentation of evidence based practices in instruction.

    For this discussion and all discussion in this class, you’ll want to create a complete essay, 5-7 paragraphs. That essay should include an introduction that narrows to a thesis. That thesis should foreshadow the main ideas of your body paragraphs. After the introduction, you want to include 3-5 body paragraphs based on the paragraph plan shared in Module resources.     Mary Rowlandson is an early female voice in American literature. She was captured and managed to recount her experience for the generations to follow.
