Instructions:

As part of our study on conflict resolution in leadership, you have taken the conflict styles assessment. This week for our discussion, we will reflect on the results of your assessment and explore how different conflict styles can impact leadership effectiveness. Respond to the following questions for your initial post:

1. Share your results: What was your dominant conflict style, and what did you learn about yourself from the assessment? Do you agree with the results? Why or why not?
2. Reflection: How does your conflict style align with your leadership approach? For example, do you tend to avoid conflicts, confront them directly, or seek compromise? How might your style affect the way you handle disagreements or tensions within a team?
3. Implications for leadership: How can understanding your style help you lead more effectively, especially when working with a diverse group of people who may have different conflict styles?

For your reply posts, respond to at least two peers, offering additional insights and reflections on the implications or their results for leadership.

Throughout this course, you will be working with an organization that has global business operations. In this assignment, you will select that organization and gather foundational information about it, including history, industry, and resources for future research. You will use the information gathered here for your Wk 2 Summative Assessment: Business Administration Outline.

Assignment Preparation

Visit the page from the University Library. Use the resources provided in the Finding a SWOT Analysis information box to look for a global organization with a SWOT analysis published within the last two years. Select the global organization that will serve as the focus of your assignments throughout the course.

Assignment Deliverable

Create a basic chart or outline in which you convey the following information about the organization or company you selected:

• Organization Overview
• Provide the name of the organization.
• Identify the industry in which the organization operates.
• Provide a brief history of the organization, including at least 3 key milestones.
• Identify the mission and vision of the organization.
• Research Resources
• List at least 3 resources where you can locate company information in future weeks. These may include:
• Company websites or official reports

• List at least 2 other companies or organizations in the same industry.

Based on the size and structure of the organization, multiple levels of management exist. Larger organizations have executive and senior leaders, often in functional roles. These managers oversee middle managers and usually have the role of vice president or higher. General managers and directors are middle managers who oversee lower-level managers. These managers often have specific groups of employees representing functional areassuch as sales, operations, finance, and human resourcesreporting to them.

Additionally, there are four fundamental functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. As a manager moves to higher levels in an organization, they are faced with broader responsibilities and use all four functions.
