  • Designing Interventions

Using the attached essay as a guide:

Your task is to clearly describe the specific activities and strategies of your intervention, identify its target audience, and justify its design using a relevant behavioral change theory. You will also formulate three measurable SMART goals and detail how your intervention will be implemented, including involved organizations, required resources, a communication plan, and an evaluation plan. In a minimum 500-word report, address the following:

    • Summarize the key findings from your literature review.
    • Describe your proposed intervention.
    • What specific activities and strategies will be implemented?
    • Who is the intended target audience?
    • What behavioral change theory will be used?
    • What is the rationale for using the intervention over others? Why will it be effective?
    • State three measurable SMART goals and how they will be achieved.
    • Outline how the intervention will be implemented. Include:
    • The organizations involved in the implementation.
    • The resources required.
    • A brief communication plan.

  • Part 6

Use the feedback you received in to revise and finalize your data collection plan and procedures. In an APA-formatted Word document describe your planned approach to collecting data using your selected instruments. Include the following:

    • What data will you collect? Justify why you chose it. It must be appropriate to answer the questions posed in relation to the quantitative tradition chosen.
    • What type of data collection tool are you using?
    • Explain any approaches and/or activities you will use to minimize biases and enhance the validity of your study.
    • How many questions are included in your questionnaire? What important information would you want to share about your questionnaire? Is this an established reliable or valid measure or is this a new, untested measure you created? Provide the questionnaire questions in an
    • If using alternative data collection, include information about your data collection method.

Every detail about your data collection must be included here. If the data comes from a secondary source, include details from the original study.

    Action Items

    1. Describe your data collection plan and procedures according to the directions in the Overview.
    2. Submit the completed first draft of your assignment. Your work will automatically be checked by Turnitin.
    3. Access your Turnitin report by reviewing your Submission Details for this assignment. Revise your work as needed based on the feedback.
    4. By the due date indicated, re-submit the final version of your work.

    FeedBack Is below:

I grew up in Mississippi and intimately understand the struggles rural residents often face with access to care. First, Id like to say that I very much appreciate the attention you are drawing to this matter to improve outcomes for Type-2 diabetics.

Your data collection plan is very clear and shows your understanding of experimental design. I would have loved to see your research question explicitly stated, but your thorough explanation helped me infer it. I believe your randomized controlled trial is well aligned with it. You also did an excellent job of delineating between your control and intervention groups.

Determining the appropriate sample size was the most difficult part of my own planning. I thought you executed this quite well, using the power analysis, and provided a very strong justification for the clinically significant HbA1c markers as your metric.

I feel your participation inclusion criteria were both well-thought out and well-defined. Furthermore, your use of the Rural-Urban Commuting Area codes to operationalize rural was a thoughtful consideration in this study. I dont know whether you currently live in Mississippi or have lived there, but you have an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of the study population. For this study to be successful, you will certainly need the cooperation between community health centers, clinics, and churches to establish trust and encourage participation.

While I am not familiar with testing norms for diabetes, measuring HbA1c at baseline, three months, and six months seems reasonable for assessing diabetes management. I particularly appreciated how you included not only medical metrics but also quality-of-life indicators in your model. Again, as a former resident of Mississippi, I acknowledge how important a digital literacy assessment is to the success of a study. The thoughtfulness you showed by including it is methodologically strong and reinforces that you care about improving outcomes, not just about data collection.

My own research is best served by nonrandom sampling, so reading about your study encouraged me to learn more about randomized studies. I found this article particularly useful in explaining the different ways to randomize to me (even though the implementation of randomization seems a bit oxymoronic):

Kang, M., Ragan, B. G., & Park, J.-H. (2008). Issues in outcomes research: An overview of randomization techniques for clinical trials. Journal of Athletic Training, 43(2), 215221. https://doi.org/10.4085/1062-6050-43.2.215

Which of these techniques, if any, do you believe you will implement?

Finally, how often do you think you will need to execute reminder contacts? Is it tied directly to appointments, or would they need to be more frequent? Would you manage those yourself, or would you collaborate with the health centers and clinics?

This is a well-designed data collection plan that I enjoyed reading. It reflects a very solid understanding of experimental research.

    Cheers!

    Meagan

  • Placebo effects in substance use treatment

On these group discussion boards please provide your thoughtful reactions, analysis, and/or facts related to the questions below. How are placebo effects important to the discussion and treatment of substance use and dependence? Consider if and how they are used to inform treatment. Why might it be unethical or controversial to give a person a “sugar” pill to achieve a placebo effect?
  • Snps and dna extraction (instroduction)

Assignment topic: SNPs and DNA extraction

    Delivery date: 2026-02-09

Additional notes or comments: I studied Biotechnologie and dont want to write an introduction to my project paper. the instroduction needs to include: a defenition of what SNPs are and what propertys they have.

Infos of SNPs in different regions like that people in northern europe have more red hair than people in asia for example. I need you to also name the numbers of said snps if you use examples. Also we looked at rs713598 extracted DNA from some of our co students. Via ethanol precipitation. After we extrated the dna we ran a pcr. I need also an explanation of what pcr is. After that we used sanger sequenzing to look at our co students dna to find if they taste bitterness normal or not.

This is a scientific paper so i need you to back up any info with scientific papers. PLs use a Havard or APA-, MLA citation styles whatever feels comfortable.

The Introduction needs to be about 3 Sides long

  • Evaluation table

Week 6 Assignment: Body of Evidence

    Submission Type: Table

Create a body of evidence (Evaluation Table) to compare the three studies you appraised in weeks 4 and 5. See the evaluation table templates D1 and D2 (linked below) for examples.

In weeks 4 and 5, you completed the critical appraisal of three studies. This week, you will meld these studies into a synthesis upon which to base practice and standards of care. To create this synthesis, youll compare the three studies using an Evaluation Table that includes the following:

    1. Citation: Author, Date of Publication, & Title
    2. Purpose of Study
    3. Conceptual Framework
    4. Design/ Method
    5. Sample/Setting
    6. Major Variables Studied and Their Definitions
    7. Measurement of Major Variables
    8. Data Analysis
    9. Study Findings
    10. Worth to Practice:
    11. Level of Evidence
    12. Strengths/Weaknesses
    13. Feasibility
    14. Conclusion

Your PICOT question is the driver for the evaluation table and synthesis tables. For example, with data analysis, while many statistics may be reported in a study, only those statistics that assist you in answering your clinical question should be placed in the table. Also, only the findings relevant to the clinical question should be placed in the table. Keeping the order of information placed in the table clear and simple is imperative for comparisons across studies for synthesis.

Some suggestions to make the table user-friendly are to:

    (a) use abbreviations (e.g., RCT) with a legend for interpretation,

    (b) keep the order of the information the same in each study, and

    (c) place similar statistics in the same order in each study for easy comparison.

see attached documents for previous paper/example.
