I). Instructions:

Topic must relate to MRI Safety.

1. b) Research topic with mandatory two sources:

Must have 2 reliable resources referenced, an example being AuntMinnie (great web site to join), Medical Journals.

Discussion should include:

What?

How does it relate to MR Safety?

How will it impact or how has it impacted our modality?

Are there future uses, advances, and/or more to come from this topic? This can include your opinion or thoughts.

1. c) A brief write up is required in APA format [including separate title and reference page]
2. d) Written component must be handed in via Canvas file upload.

II). References: You are expected to site your work, including a reference page.

Citations to be used to reference material utilized: Attribute specific material by using parentheses at the end of the passage that includes the authors name and the pages that the material came from. (Last name of the author, page number) This occurs before the period.

Situations to be utilized or referenced as well: You are not required to have references from each category:

Journal: author, month & year, article title, journal, volume, page number.

Book: author, year, title, publisher, city

Internet: Title; Internet address

1. Please discuss the difference between accreditation, credentialing, and licensing.

2. Which organization has accredited your school/professional vocational training and which organizations or associations will you need to be aware of once you have graduated?

3. Will you need to complete Continuing Education? If so, discuss more; requirements, timeframes

4. Is your profession regulated by a Federal or State Agency? If yes, which one (s)

5. What are the professional credentials your profession requires (Hint: there are two you should all mention that you have heard a multitude of times)?

• Is it a certification? Yes or No… describe.
• Is it a licensure? Yes or No…describe.
• Describe the registration AND testing process.

6. Finally discuss the benefits of what getting your credentials/licensure are as soon as you graduate. Why should you do this quickly? Are their time limits to receive them once you graduate?
