    Respiratory System

Your patient is a 6 week old, 25 week gestation infant with chronic lung disease who is maintained on nasal CPAP 25 30% for respiratory support. She is receiving orogastric feeds of breast milk every three hours. Over the past day she has had increasing frequency of apnea, bradycardia and desaturation which are unrelated to feedings.

Develop a pharmacological treatment plan based on the information provided here.

Please respond base on this medication ;caffeine citrate as the main treatment of AOP

Second, chronic lung disease, since baby is older that 28 days and requires 30% Fio2 we can talk about diuretics furosemide or spironolactone and nebulizers for lung support, such as albuterol, budosemide, Norma saline

Third, anemia: the baby is 25 week now 6 weeks old, so iron supplementation is important to prevent anemia. We could also mention checking H&H and considering PRBC transfusion if needed.

And lastly, possible infection/late-onset sepsis maybe discuss empiric antibiotics like ampicillin and gentamicin after blood cultures done if infection is suspected.

Then I can talk about importance of checking electrolytes with diuretics, pick and trough with gentamicin, increase HR with Caffeine and so on:) alsa you can add PDa as possible cause of apnea in infant who is 25 week. It is a group assignment and my friend is working of part 1.2. And three and I am asking you to do this part 4 Provide a plan for evaluating efficacy of drugs

    Writing an Annotated Bibliography

As a Capella learner, you are required to use APA format for your written assessment, which includes an annotated bibliography section. This includes making sure that the references are listed in alphabetical order, are double-spaced, and are formatted with a hanging indent. Provide the full APA reference citation, including the author, date, title, publisher or publication, and any additional information required by APA style, and then write your annotation in a paragraph form, summarizing the main points of the resource.

If you are not feeling quite comfortable with annotated bibliographies yet, review the following resources that will give you some more detailed guidance:

    • View the multimedia presentation.
    • Examine the , which is another demonstration of What Not to Do.
    • Review the Annotated Bibliography section of the Writing Centers page for definitions and additional examples.

    Using APA Style

Capella uses the APA manual as its style guide for scholarly writing. Using a single publication manual ensures a consistent style across degrees, programs, and schools. A number of specific styles are generally associated with specific disciplines. For example, learners in the arts and humanities typically use MLA style for documenting sources, while ACS style, developed by the American Chemical Society, is the standard for writing documents related to chemistry.

Capella University requires learners to use APA style, which is well-respected and widely used in scholarly works and academic publications. APA style guidelines will help you write papers that clearly communicate your ideas.

Following APA style guidelines means that your papers have a consistent look and organization, which allows the reader to focus on the ideas presented in the paper. Capella provides online resources designed to help you understand APA style and use it effectively.

    Introduction

An annotated bibliography is a great tool to help scholarly writers move from the research to the drafting phase of a writing project, particularly when managing a large number of sources. A bibliography is an alphabetized list of sources relevant to a particular area of inquiry or research question; an annotated bibliography goes beyond merely giving the citation information for the sources to provide the reader with more information about the content of those sources. The content information is called the annotation.

This media piece covers two types of annotated bibliographiessummative and evaluativeand includes examples for both.

    Type of Annotations

There are at least two different kinds of annotated bibliographies: those that are summative and those that are evaluative. Length of annotations can also vary, from approximately 150-word paragraphs to one- or two-page annotations. Occasionally some are designed with shorter annotations. If writing an annotated bibliography for a class, be sure to check with the instructor to determine which type of annotation is required for the assignment you are completing, and the preferred length required.

    Uses of Annotated Bibliography

Annotated bibliographies can be invaluable in the research process, especially when working with large numbers of sources over a long period of time. It is very difficult (if not impossible) to recall details about every source on a given topic. Well-written annotations can help crystallize key information presented in each article or book, preserving it in a format that can be easily accessed and revisited at any stage of the writing process.

An annotated bibliography can be created in response to a specific research question, or it might represent exploratory research on a broader topic at an earlier stage of the research process. Writing about each source individually helps clarify and situate the perspectives of different scholars and their approaches to a given topic. In this way, the annotated bibliography can serve as the basis of a review of literature; it functions as the “nuts and bolts” of the research, laying out different themes and positions that have emerged about the topic in the literature of the field.

( i aslo want to do this just the assistant anesthetist the Crna is way too much but i am happy to see someone else on that similar jounery goodluck to you)

Hi everyone , my name is Yvette. My career goal is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This aspiration aligns deeply with my personal value system, which emphasizes compassion, critical thinking, and commitment to the patient’s well-being. The pursuit of anesthesia care directly reflects these values by enabling me to provide essential care during vulnerable moments, and contribute to the patients safety, and comfort.

I envision this degree significantly enhancing my nursing practice by providing a stronger foundation in advanced assessment, critical care management, and evidenced-based practice. A baccalaureate degree equips nurses with a broader understanding of healthcare systems, leadership principles, and research methodologies, which are crucial for advanced roles like CRNA. This education will foster a more analytical, and problem-solving approach to patient care, enabling me to anticipate, and manage complex situations effectively.

Evidence supporting the transformative impact of a baccalaureate degree on nursing practice highlights its role in improving patient outcomes, and advancing the profession. Studies indicate that nurses with baccalaureate degrees often demonstrate enhanced clinical judgment, better communication skills, and a greater capacity for leadership (AACN, 2021). Furthermore, a baccalaureate education promotes a deeper understanding of research, and evidence-based practice, empowering nurses to critically evaluate, and implement the latest advancements in patient care, which is paramount for specialized roles such as CRNA (Grossenbacher, 2025).

    Alyssa

    What are your career goals?

My career goals are to finish my bachelors degree and gain more Acute care experience in the Emergency Department. Then my long-term goal is to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and hopefully continue working in the ED.

How do these career goals align with your personal value system?

This career goal aligns with my personal value system by allowing me to have a broader scope of practice, giving me more autonomy, and allowing me to develop a course of care that will directly impact the patient’s overall well-being. My personal value system centers around a patient-centered approach that shows every patient compassion and respect, no matter their circumstances.

How do you envision this degree changing your nursing practice?

I envision this degree changing my nursing practice by increasing my foundational knowledge of evidence-based practices and how to evaluate the evidence in order to improve my clinical judgment for better patient care. I also envision that this degree will enhance my leadership abilities so that I can facilitate a teamwork standard with my coworkers, promoting effective patient-centered care (Professional Nursing Practice | Transitions to Professional Nursing Practice, 2015).

What evidence supports your thoughts on how your nursing practice will change with a baccalaureate degree? Cite a minimum of two sources.

The evidence I found in support that having a baccalaureate degree will improve my nursing practice is that hospitals that increase their proportion of nurses with a BSN have a significantly reduced mortality rate of patients (Lasater et al., 2021). This can be attributed to improved clinical judgement and enhanced knowledge. The enhanced knowledge gained by achieving a Baccalaureate degree is show in this study Variations in nursing baccalaureate education and 30-day inpatient surgical mortality as it shows how despite differences in curricular competencies across various nations patients have reduced adverse outcomes identifying the foundation of the degree as the pivotal factor for improving patient care versus the route of how the degree is achieved (Porat-Dahlerbruch et al., 2021).
