After reading Chapter 2 of our text, compose a PICO-format intervention-based clinical question related to your topic of choice (your practice problem) for your Synthesis I and II Papers and Synthesis III Presentation (write out your complete clinical question in PICO format first in your post).

The PICO question should identify population (P), intervention (I), comparison (C), intervention (I), and outcome (O). You will likely not have a T for these assignments timing, as you are describing an evidence-based practice intervention rather than setting up research.

This is a scholarly paper in which headings, full sentences, paragraphs, correct grammar and punctuation, and correct citation of sources are required.

Application of Theory to Research:

Find two published, original sources in which researchers used the theory as a framework, and/or the concept of interest to support their research. These articles must have been published within the past 10 years. Discuss how those researchers utilized the theory (and/or the concept of interest) to support their research. Include in the discussion of each study the purpose of the study, how the researchers used the theory in their study, how the researchers used the concept of interest in their study, and how the researchers theoretically and operationally defined the concept of interest.

Analytical Methods

Provides the analytical methods you plan to use based on the type of research chosen in week 5 paper: quantitative – statistical or inferential statistics, through surveys; qualitative – interviews, focus groups, observation (themes, patterns, and connections), must be at least three fully formed paragraphs (at least 5 sentences in length). In paragraph one, give an overview of your chosen research method. Ex:

The purpose of the signature assignment is for students to apply the research and EBP concepts they have learned in this course and develop a framework for the initial steps of the students capstone project. The assignment allows the student to initiate the steps for planning, researching and developing an evidence-based practice intervention project proposal. On or before Day 7 of week eight, each student will submit his or her final proposal paper to the week eight assignment link in D2L.
