Goal:

• The PowerPoint presentation is original work and logically organized. It should consist of 12 slides excluding the title and reference.
• The PowerPoint presentation should be clear and easy to read. Speaker notes expanded upon and clarified content on the slides.
• The PowerPoint presentation should be formatted per APA guidelines and references should be current (published within the last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions)
• Incorporate a minimum of 4 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work. Journal articles and books should be referenced according to current APA guidelines (the library has a copy of the 7th Edition APA Manual).

this is a Scholarly Position Paper. I am not very familiar with the instructions yet but I will attached the syllabus please refer to page 6. basically to start we are working one by parts, put in it in a discussion module. for the first module professor asked us this.

my answer was: My Topic: Food Insecurity and Chronic Disease. For this paper, I plan to focus on food insecurity as an environmental concern by looking closely at the food environment, such as food deserts, access to grocery stores, transportation barriers, and neighborhood-level availability of nutritious foods, rather than focusing on financial factors. I also plan to narrow the topic by focusing on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, specifically diabetes, hypertension, and obesity to better show the relationship between environmental conditions and health outcomes.

FOR SECOND MODULE When preparing to write a scholarly paper, it is very important to select the sources wisely. Reviewing and assembling your sources before you begin writing your paper will help you produce a better result. Relevant resources can enhance your work and make preparing your paper easier.

Your scholarly paper requires you to provide and describe literature relevant to your interest. This gives credibility to your work and maximizes the impact you share with the reader. The review also engages the reader to become a participant in your work. This is very important when writing a position paper, as the relevant literature supports the development of your position and argument.

Suggestions

• Search peer-reviewed journals for articles related to your topic.
• Are your sources current? Sources should not be older than five (5) years, except for seminal work. Review the list of peer-reviewed sources found in your syllabus. These are peer-reviewed, reliable resources.
• Consider the reliability of any website that you use as a source. The WPU Cheng Library has a great tutorial about this.
