Please use the information below to draft a scholarly nursing career development paper based on the Donner-Wheeler Career Planning and Development Model (Scanning, Assessing, Visioning, Developing, Marketing). The paper should clearly reflect my personal experiences, career goals, and professional perspective so that it sounds authentic and not generic. Please integrate leadership theory, nursing ethics, health systems context, and professional development where appropriate.
Current nursing program/year: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), 4th year

Nurse leaders are present throughout all nursing roles, from bedside to administration and through all spheres of care. You may be familiar with a variety of leadership styles from your undergraduate studies. MSN leaders are best positioned to lead, influence, and participate in practice change within complex healthcare organizations. As described in DeNisco (2020), a contemporary leadership model has a foundation of trust and has four pillars of professionalism, relationships, inspiration, and business skills, leading to results of high-quality healthcare. Leaders in complex healthcare systems are pressed with high demands to achieve desired performance and outcomes. In this project, you will consider your individual leadership style and how it compares to the transformational leadership model presented in DeNisco. Several strategic tools can help you be a successful MSN leader, for example, the use of tools for time and stress management. This assignment will help you identify strategies to strengthen your leadership skills, support personal resources, and communicate all within various practice settings. Regardless of which track you have chosen, developing skills in written and oral professional communication, time management, stress management, and reflection will be useful in multiple leadership settings throughout your career.
Self-evaluation is part of an annual process of reflection.
