9. Alvarez et al. (2020). Childrens and parents views on hospital contact isolation: A qualitative study to highlight childrens perspectives.
10. Semi-structured, open-ended interviews with eight hospitalized children were used to assess their experiences of being placed in isolation. Where possible, the childrens parents also completed written surveys to assess parental perspectives on their childs experiences.

Examination of the parentchild dyads elucidated some discordance between parents and childrens perspectives on how children experienced their isolation, on what the childrens preferred activities were while in isolation, and how much children understood about the reasons they were in isolation.
