    The final project, due March 1, allows you to integrate and demonstrate what you have learned in this course. Prepare a paper of more than 6 pages and no more than 9 pages in length, not including the title page and reference list. The paper should follow the posted guidelines and use accepted research approaches and APA citation format. Every aspect of your analysis should be anchored by communication principles and best practices.

    Writing Assignment 3, the Final Project, asks you to analyze the case study Forensic Services at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health by Seijts and Iuliani (2021). The case describes a large mental health teaching hospital facing a high-profile media crisis that has significantly disrupted its relationships with major stakeholders.

    Your task is to propose a strategy to navigate the publicity crisis effectively, with communication and stakeholder management at the center of your approach. The strategy should both protect the hospitals reputation and address the concerns of all parties involved. As you build your analysis, integrate insights from Ramannas Managing in the Age of Outrage (2022), Groysberg and Leamons Difficult Conversations and Dealing with Challenging Situations at Work (2015), Neeley and Ryders Lighting the Fire (2016), and Frei and Morrisss Storytelling That Drives Bold Change (2023). These readings should support your approach, showing how broader communication principles can be applied to this case.

    Your paper should include an introduction, a clear articulation of the crisis, your proposed communication strategy, an explanation of stakeholder management approaches, and a conclusion that summarizes your key points. Cite all sources in APA format, following the guidelines provided in the syllabus and the examples posted in Moodle.
