It may include items like potential origins of the behaviors (both biological and environmental, speaking to the classic nature versus nurture argument in psychology), current manifestations of the behavior and potential diagnosis, assessment approach, and other ethical or demographic considerations related to the case. In Assessment 3, you will continue reviewing the case you explored in Assessment 2 and apply your knowledge and skills related to assessment and ethics to provide a final report.

As we learn about the influence of preconceived thoughts on behavior and perception, it becomes clear that ingrained ideas can significantly shape how people interact with the world around them.
Based on the reading, reflect on how you had to challenge your own preconceived notions of various cultures. What in the readings made you uncomfortable? At this point, with which points did you agree, and with which did you disagree? Why?
Your post must be clear and include what the preconceived notion is and specifically, to what culture. Also note if it is a preconceived notion related to language, dress, hairstyles, etc.
You are required to respond to at least 2 peer posts.
Please make sure that you are always sensitive to others perspectives, even if they differ from yours. Your replies should continue and enhance the conversation. Have you had a similar experience with this person? Or can you see this topic from a different angle?

This module explored how our brains are shaped by experience and how these processes influence our interpretations of culture. We also discussed how these interpretations can sometimes lead to preconceived ideas and biases.
Think about brain development and the concept of “schemas” discussed in the readings. How do you think your cultural background and experiences have impacted your own schemas?
Write about an example of how your cultural background influences your interpretation of situations or people.
In general, have your cultural background and interpretation tendencies helped you or led you astray? What preconceived notions have you identified in yourself?
Describe a strategy you can use to become more aware of your own biases.
Add this modules journal entry to the same document that you started last Module. Label this entry Reflective Journal 2 and put it on page 1 of your document. This entry should be at least 250 words long.
