In this assignment, you will assume the role of a community outreach worker. Your community is committed to proactively addressing major health concerns, and stakeholders understand the importance of doing so from a whole-person approach. Your supervisor has asked you to prepare three ideas from which the team can choose for a health campaign.

Begin by choosing a health concern that you would like to address for the assignment. Then associate three of the models of health psychology to the chosen health concern.

Be sure to support your information with the text and at least one additional scholarly source. Scholarly articles must be current and of high quality. These include peer-reviewed academic articles, articles published in journals.

In a two to three-page expository essay please address the following:

In Chapter 5, we explored how infants begin to enter the social world and develop emotional bonds with their caregivers. This short icebreaker discussion invites you to think about the social and emotional needs of newborns and to reflect on caregiving from both a developmental and personal perspective.

Initial Post Requirements

In your initial post, respond to the following prompts:

1. What social and emotional factors do you think are most important when caring for a newborn?
2. What do caregivers need to do to help a newborn feel safe and secure?
3. How would you personally take care of a new baby if needed (either your own or one you were asked to watch for a period of time)?
4. When do you think babies begin to recognize their caregivers? What signs or behaviors would indicate this recognition?

In this assignment for this week you will need to create a PowerPoint that will highlight the important points of the Eriksons theory.The selected theory should be one that has a significant influence in explaining development. The presentation will start with a short introduction of the theory, present some background information on the theorist/psychologist behind the creation of the theory, share additional interesting details about the theory such as the main focus of the theory, steps or stages within the theory and so forth and conclude by briefly explaining why you selected this theory as the best theory in explaining development. You will want to have a minimum of a seven slide PPT or Prezi. All references will be listed in APA format. Remember to cite your references to support the information shared within your slides.

For this assignment, you will apply the SLEEPP systemic decision-making model from Chapter 23 of The Handbook of Systemic Family Therapy ebook (available in the

reading list) to this vignette. Then, you will write a paper following the instructions provided below.

Vignette

LaKeisha is a student therapist at a site that works with teens who have been arrested for substance abuse and are now in a diversionary program to avoid jail time. LaKeishas main clients are the teens, but she also does family work with the teens’ siblings, guardians, and parents. LaKeisha was raised in a home with one parent who was addicted to pain killers and she often had to care for that parent and her younger siblings. During one session with her 16-year-old client Josi, who identifies as non-binary, they tell her that they often smoke weed with their older sibling. Josi begs you not to tell anyone about this, especially their parent who often likes to check in on how the sessions are going. Josi admits to being afraid of their older sibling and that if he found out that Josi told on him, “there would be hell to pay.”

Josi admits that LaKeisha is the only one they feel comfortable talking to and for the first time feels heard. As LaKeisha is leaving for the day her site supervisor, Andre, asks how things are going with Josi. Josi’s parent just called in and Andre said that he would call back later in the day with updates. Supervision is scheduled for later in the week, but Andre tells LaKeisha that he will be rescheduling their supervision for the following week due to overbooking clients.

Instructions

Write a 57 page paper that addresses each of the following:

• Describe the people and process to engage with to apply the SLEEPP decision-making model to this case. Who would you consult with in making your decision?
• Using the SLEEPP model, identify each step you would take, with an explanation of how your action for each step relates to the AAMFT Code of Ethics and your states legal statutes:
• What sociocultural factors did you identify?
• What legal issues apply? (Make sure to identify the age of consent for treatment in your state and how that would factor in your decisions.)

• What could be the economic impacts of certain decisions?

• How does the politic between supervisee and supervisor, client and therapist play into this vignette?
