  • Leroy Jethro Gibbs character analysis

Select a character from some show (disney movie, binge watching series, movie, tv show, whatever). Describe how each theory would explain their behavior. Start with a paragraph about the character (pretend the reader has never heard of this person). Then write a paragraph about how five of the eight theories (you pick) would explain the things they do, think, feel, etc. ACTUALLY – IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS ABOUT YOU AND YOUR LIFE (take a little risk taking and self-disclosure!) THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!! (so that IS an option!) The theories are: Evolutionary, Psychoanalytic, Behavioral, Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Positive Psychology, Biomedical, and Trait You need to incorporate the general feel of the theory and apply at least two key terms which should be highlighted or underlined to point them out. A “key term” is classified by having an = sign next to it in the notes!!! An example applied to the Grinch is attached hereLinks to an external site.. The Introduction and one of the theories is used as a model. HERELinks to an external site. is the rubric. You will end up with 7 paragraphs (the intro and the five theories applied – followed by the conclusion). The conclusion should entail which theory YOU would suggest for the character and why. – I chose the TV show NCIS and the character Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the team leader of the investigating Navy and Marine Corps crimes. Which this takes place in Washington, D.C. Gibbs is calm, disciplined, and protective, keeping his emotions hidden and rarely discussing his personal life with his team. He suffered trauma after losing his wife and daughter. Also, he always does want what he wants in inventions which means he breaks rules sometimes. He values loyalty, justice, and hard work, teaching through strict rules and actions rather than emotions as he is known as a quite individual. Though tough and serious, he cares deeply and uses strong morals to protect others.

                    2. Organizational Development Theory week 1

Section 1) Select two of the theories presented this week and apply each to a contemporary organization. The organization that you choose should not be your current or former employer.

                      • Identify the two OD theories you selected.
                      • Explain how the two theories you selected reflect an issue the organization is currently facing.
                      • Explain how you could use these two theories to help the organization better understand and resolve the issue.
                      • Describe some methods and processes that you would use to explain these two theories, and their relevance, to your client.
                      • Theory 1 Individual differences
                      • Theory 2 ) Social identity theory
                      • The cardinal rule in the OD profession is this: Opinions dont matter . This is because opinions can often be subjective, biased, or based on erroneous information. Theories and scholarly, peer-reviewed literature are much more objective and reliable; therefore, they should be incorporated into every OD assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and overall change strategy. In this weeks Discussion, you will have the opportunity to apply theories in your analysis of a real-world organization.
                      • Section B:
                      • Submit a 2- to 3- page paper written in APA format and style in which you analyze and discuss which theories help explain the current issues that the Quantum Leap Marketing Partners organization is facing, and which theories could be used to help address and mitigate these issues.Support your Assignment with references to recent (within the last 5 years) peer-reviewed, scholarly sources and this weeks Learning Resources.
                      • Consider the following Quantum Leap Marketing Partners case study.Quantum Leap Marketing Partners is a small, privately held firm with 30 employees that provides marketing consulting, advertising, and digital marketing services. The companys founder, John Thomas, was recently ousted by the other partners, and the firm barely survived this change of leadership. Everyone in the company is anxious and the culture is dis-eased. Employees tend to keep their heads down, stay quiet, and try to go unnoticed for fear of losing their jobs. Many employees forego lunch and breaks so as not appear like slackers. Infighting is high as employees seek to ensure their own job security. Frankly, they seem depressed and unwell. The new managing partner, Stan Simons, is very concerned about low morale, attrition, and lack of motivation. Clients are also expressing their concerns and a few who were loyal to the founder have left the firm. Employee attitude cannot sink any lower, nor can the firm afford to lose any more clients. The partners fear they may be losing control of the organization. This case study presents a complex situation with multiple layers of organizational and behavioral dysfunction. You will likely see that many of the OD theories you read about this week can provide a framework through which you can identify and understand what is currently happening at this firm. Do you believe that different theories may provide varying insight? Which theories do you believe would be most helpful in clarifying, understanding, and mitigating the situation?

                    3. Psychology Question

Section A) For this Discussion, you explore these entrepreneurial dimensions of an organization. Read the table below and then proceed to the Discussion instructions:

Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) Entrepreneurial Intensity (EI) Social Entrepreneurial Orientation (SEO)
Definition: Entrepreneurial Orientation refers to the strategic posture of a firm that encapsulates its approach to entrepreneurship. It is characterized by specific dimensions that reflect a companys willingness to engage in entrepreneurial activities. Definition: Entrepreneurial Intensity refers to the frequency and degree of entrepreneurial activities within an organization. It measures both the number of entrepreneurial initiatives and the level of innovation, risk, and proactiveness associated with these initiatives. Definition: Social Entrepreneurial Orientation combines the principles of entrepreneurial orientation with a focus on social and environmental missions. It emphasizes creating social value over purely economic returns, though financial sustainability is also a concern.

                      EO Key Dimensions:

                      • Innovativeness: The tendency to support new ideas, experimentation, and creative processes that may lead to new products, services, or technological processes.
                      • Proactiveness: The forward-looking perspective that involves taking initiative, anticipating future needs or changes, and acting on them ahead of competitors.
                      • Risk-Taking: The willingness to commit resources to opportunities with uncertain outcomes, involving a degree of calculated risk.
                      • Autonomy: The independence of individuals or teams within the organization to develop new ideas and carry them through to completion.
                      • Competitive Aggressiveness: The intensity of a firms efforts to outperform industry rivals, characterized by aggressive responses to competitor actions.
                      • Focus: EO is primarily focused on the strategic decisions and behaviors that foster innovation, risk-taking, and proactive market leadership within a business context.

                      EI Key Key Dimensions:

                      • Frequency: How often entrepreneurial actions (such as new product launches, market entries, or innovations) occur within the organization.
                      • Degree: The level of intensity, novelty, or radicalness of these entrepreneurial activities.
                      • Focus: EI provides a measure of how dynamically and vigorously an organization engages in entrepreneurial behavior, considering both the volume and the significance of these actions.

                      SEO Key Dimensions:

                      • Social Innovation: Developing new solutions to address social issues, such as poverty, education, health, and environmental sustainability.
                      • Social Proactiveness: Anticipating and acting on social needs or opportunities to create positive social change.
                      • Social Risk-Taking: Engaging in initiatives that may have uncertain outcomes but have the potential to generate significant social impact.
                      • Ethical and Sustainable Practices: Commitment to ethical operations and sustainable business practices that support the broader social mission.
                      • Focus: SEO is centered on addressing social challenges and creating value for society through entrepreneurial means, blending the pursuit of innovation and market-driven strategies with a commitment to positive social impact.
                      Summary of Differences
EO is about the overall entrepreneurial stance of a firm, emphasizing innovation, proactiveness, and risk-taking in a business context. EI quantifies how frequently and intensely a firm engages in entrepreneurial actions, focusing on both the frequency and the degree of entrepreneurial activity. SEO integrates the entrepreneurial drive with a primary goal of social value creation, emphasizing social innovation, proactiveness, and ethical considerations to address societal challenges.
Each concept reflects a different aspect of how organizations approach entrepreneurship, with EO focusing on strategy, EI on activity level, and SEO on social impact

                    4. Week 9 &10 discussion

Since this is a two-part discussion, I will provide the leading questions to respond to later in the week and extend the time out. So 8 days on part one and then the responses by later in the week so I have time to review.

                      Review the following case study:

Rick has recently returned home from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Upon returning home his wife Jennifer quickly noticed his changed behavior. Rick also revealed he witnessed his friends being blown up into bits and narrowly escaped injury himself numerous times. He has difficulty sleeping because of intense nightmares and he daily experiences hyper-vigilance and reacts dramatically to loud noises. Jennifer has also noticed him drinking more and isolating himself from his friends. When asked about his service in Afghanistan, Rick quickly changes the subject and refuses to talk about it.

                      • What diagnosis would you give and why?
                      • What treatment would you use to help Rick?

                    6. Psychology Question

Please do a power point presentation of my paper. The paper is already written and you can use it exactly for the power point. I will also attach an example powerpoint that the professor provided for a good one. The paper is not perfect and powerpoint does not have to be either.! “Here is an example of a great presentation, with graphics and good timing/pace. This one includes a results section with a template leaving space for future statistics when she gets her results. This is also available in tow of the paper samples above. You do NOT have to use the “missing number” template, and you can see the 2-study paper example for how to report planned results in study 2. However, this makes it much easier when you get to capstone to simply fill-in-the-blanks with your numbers.”
