  • APA METHOD SECTION

attached are the class project, a sample of what theyre looking for, and the grading rubric. the participants section is going to be the same as what the same shows but obviously reworded. the rest is based on the class project attachment (not the sample). you have to read the project and then come up with the entire method section yourself.
  • The Narcotics Fam

Many of the drugs that create altered states of consciousness are often highly addictive and, as a result, illegal in most countries.

Too often, those addicted to these illegal substances are treated solely as criminals. In 1935, the federal government opened the United States first drug-treatment center to rehabilitate individuals addicted to illegal drugs. Many of those arrested in the United States for illegal drug use from 1935 to 1975 were sent to this institution, which was referred to unofficially as the Narcotics Farm.

    Watch the following 55-minute documentary:

Here is the link in case the video does not play:

Using language from Chapter 4, which refers to drug use and addiction, note specific examples from the film that demonstrate your understanding of the topic. Remember to refer back to Chapters 1 and 2 regarding ethical questions in research (10 points).

Your essay should directly reference the textbook and the documentary. I have seen the video many times, and I do not just want a retelling of the content but rather an understanding of drug addiction and the narcotics farm’s treatment of the prisoners.

  • Assessment Two

Write a 35 page paper in which you describe each child’s respective development, describe research as presented in the Cebiolu and Broesch (2021) article and an article you find in the library, and, finally, describe the individual influences, social identity, and worldviews that exist for each child’s case study.

    Collapse AllIntroduction

The preschool years (ages 35) are an exciting time of growth and change. Children are growing in terms of their ability to form friendships, play with others, understand the world in concrete and logical terms, and take those initial, crucial steps toward independence. Rather than simply playing next to another child, like a two-year-old, a four-year-old can create a game with their peers, pretend that a box is a house, and role-play some of the situations that play out in their daily life, like going to the grocery store or to the bank. Play is a critical component of learning for children in this age group, as it helps them make meaning from their worlds and extends their innate curiosity to learn.

Once children enter school (with elementary school spanning approximately ages 511), their cognitive, social, and emotional development is driven, in part, by their educational experiences. Children’s friendship becomes more complex as does their form of play. Children grow in their perspective-taking and cognitive skills, with all of these developmental domains influencing one another across time. The many unique environments and people around the child significantly influence their path forward. Parents, peers, teachers, school, community, and culture set the backdrop for this time of active growth and development. Such contexts influence a child’s beliefs, identities, and values as they prepare to embark upon their upcoming teenage years. In Assessment 2, you’ll use case studies of three children to explore how individual factors can influence development and relationships.

This milestone will help you get started on the final project by selecting a classic and more current study and writing a detailed summary of each.

    Prompt

First, choose a classic study from the Ten Classic Studies Learning Aid located in your Reading and Resources. Second, find a more current study on the same general topic that was conducted and published in the past 10 years. For example, you could choose Milgrams obedience study AND choose a modern study on obedience (for example, obedience in the workplace, military, or perhaps another setting).

Summarize each of the two studies in detail. Include the reference for each study. Your summary for each article should include information about the literature review, research question or hypothesis, methodology, results, and the conclusion.

    What to Submit

This summary should be a paper of about 2 double-spaced pages, submitted in Microsoft Word, with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and all sources cited in APA format within the document and in the reference list.

  • Reflection Paper Three Existential Therapy Chapter 6

    Chapter 6

Frankl, V. E. (n.d.). On human suffering and finding meaning [Video]. YouTube.

    Instructions, Strong Suggestions, and Guidelines

Each chapter on theories consists of one or more specific therapy approaches that fall under the general philosophy, or theoretical orientation, being covered in the chapter. The textbook has several tables that outline and compare/contrast each theoretical orientation. These tables will be helpful as you prepare your reflection papers.

    Content Requirements: (What to include)

    1. Summarize the Theoretical Orientation or Theory: Key Concepts, Therapeutic Process, contributions, strengths, limitations, application, multicultural strengths & shortcomings
    2. Discuss the Strengths & Limitations of the Theoretical Orientation or Theory from your perspective
    3. Personal AlignmentWhat parts do you feel align with your own personal & professional values? How & why?
    4. Personal ConflictWhat parts do you have a conflict with or disagree with? How & why?
    5. ConclusionOverall, is this a theoretical orientation or specific theory that you could ascribe to? Explain. If only partially, address the key concepts that you could see as being integrated into your own personal counseling philosophy and explain.

    General Rules:

    1. Each reflection paper will vary in terms of the number of pages; thus, I have no page number requirements. You will be graded on the thoroughness of your paper as opposed to page length. Some chapters cover more content than others, thus contributing to the number of pages required just to provide a complete summarization alone.
    2. Your paper MUST thoroughly address each and every item in the Content Requirements. This means that you MUST go far above and beyond making a simple statement or regurgitating the chapter contents. It is called a reflection paper for a reason!
    3. You MUST cite your sources. You are reporting information from the chapter of a textbook at the very least, thus the textbook and its chapter MUST be both cited and included in a reference list. You are strongly encouraged to seek out additional resources on the specific Theoretical Orientation or Theory that you are covering. Each chapter provides a good resource list to get you going.
    4. Use APA style (7th Edition) to format this paper (go to Writing Resources in Resources Module)
    5. DO NOT INCLUDE AN ABSTRACT
    6. Use APA headings formatting
    7. Include proper citations
    8. Include a properly formatted reference list
    9. Running head must be formatted appropriately and accurately with your name and reflection paper number as the running head title.
    10. You must include page numbers properly formatted in the header (not heading, header)
    11. Do not submit your first draft. You, as a graduate student, should spend time intentionally reviewing and contemplating your paper through at least two or three drafts prior to submission. Check for spelling, grammar, the flow of information, organization, structure, formatting, etc. Check again. It will show and it will have an effect on your grade.
    12. Use the grading rubric as you plan your paper and when you complete your final draft. Consider if your paper meets the requirements for the grade that you would like to receive. If not, make additional changes, edits, restructuring, etc. Have someone else read it and let you know if they could understand it. This is often more helpful than we expect.
    13. You can type or paste your work into the assignment textbox or submit your paper as a doc or docx file attachment. No other file formats will be accepted. You will not be informed that you have submitted an unacceptable format. You will receive a zero grade.
    14. Submit your reflection paper BEFORE the posted deadline. Remember that I do not accept late papers.
    15. If you have experienced an emergency or a crisis at the last minute, you need to contact me via email from your ECU email and let me know what has happened. Once your emergency or crisis is stabilized, I will arrange for an extended deadline for you. Youll only get one or two passes for emergency/crisis extensions. You WILL have to provide doctor notes or other documentation
    16. Even in the event of an emergency/crisis at the last minute, you should have the final draft of your paper ready to submit. Students who simply put off the assignment until the last minute dont qualify for emergency/crisis situations.
    17. A true emergency/crisis situation is one in which something beyond your control has prevented you from being able to access and submit your paper by the posted deadline.
    18. If you know of an issue that may interfere with your ability to submit your paper by the deadline you should plan to submit the paper early (start working on the paper earlier than usual). If this is absolutely not possible, communicate with me so that we can make alternative plans. (i.e. I have had students who had planned surgeries that interfered with their timelines and we worked out an alternative that allowed recovery time).

    Suggestions:

    1. Plan your schedule to work on your assignments (including these papers) in advance.
  • .

Recall a recent news story related to unethical behavior by a company. What were the effects of the ethical breach in terms of their reputation and profitability? • Genogram Project

Based on your Genogram Drawing, write a paper about your interpretation following the outline below (the body of your paper, not including title page, etc., should be 8-10 typed, double-spaced pages):

Section 1: Background. Briefly describe the family in narrative form, beginning with the index person (you may use the first person “I”). Discuss the cultural and socioeconomic issues facing the family, major events or turning points that affected the family, and any other factors that might be useful in understanding the present-day situation for you.

Section 2: Analysis. Discuss your analysis of the genogram. This can be written in first person. Specifically, address the following:

    • What intergenerational patterns, dynamics, and/or themes have you identified that influence you or others in the family? This analysis should be seen through the lens of Bowens 8 interlocking ideas or Minuchins structural theory. Please connect each pattern/dynamic you identify to this theory, and to specific concepts from within that theory.
    • How have cultural factors in this family affected the index person and the family system as a whole? How has this been similar or different, across different generations?
    • Note that this section of the paper is the heart of the written genogram analysis. In Section 1, just provide enough of the story to support and expand upon your observations in Section 2. Section 2 is the main focal point of the assignment, as it is the section where you analyze patterns and tie these to a major theory from the course.
    • Highlight analysis over self-reflection.
    • Please support your analysis with 3-5 peer-reviewed journal articles and in the last 7-10 years (properly cited using APA format).

Section 3: Reflection. Discuss your reflections on the process of completing this assignment. This can be written in first person. What did it mean to you? What did you learn?

    • Writing quality, including grammar and spelling, WILL count toward the final grade. Therefore, proofreading is strongly encouraged.
    • Self-reflection is a cornerstone of the counselling profession. Each competency taught in the program should be examined for self-application and understanding of how to synthesize this knowledge into personal/professional growth. The more a counsellor examines the self, the more opportunity for obtaining proficiency in reflective practice as well as reducing emotional reactivity, countertransference, and bias.
    • This assignment allows students to reflect on generational and familial concepts learned in this course by applying them to themselves and their families. This is mirroring the process that we ask of clients. Going into the vulnerable parts of yourself may bring up past events or memories. Remember this is a learning process that will allow you to prepare for client work of developing a genogram with a client. Assignments and activities are not intended to serve as personal counselling for students. As counsellors we continue to provide support to others and during this process, we need to also ensure we are taking care of ourselves.
    • If a student needs more support or resources as a result of learning activities, then please visit Yorkville’s Student Success Centre: Mental Health & Wellness: It can also be helpful to examine the MACP Skills Learning Lab Modules on Safe & Effective Use of Self. Learning how to manage the self is a skill that counsellors must learn. MACP encourages self-work and personal counselling through appropriate sources (i.e., subject to province-based guidelines for counselling services).

    Structure

    • Required components: Title page and reference page.
    • Length of Assignment: The text body of paper (i.e., not including title page or references should consist of approximately 2000-2500 words, i.e., 8-10 pages) double-spaced typed pages, Times New Roman font size: 12.
    • Format: Please, format your assignment in Word (files with extension .doc or .docx), or pdf.
    • References: A minimum of 3-5 peer review journal articles
  • Critical review paper- psychopathology and neurodiversity: a…

In the files I sent you, the first document called `Spring 2026 Midterm Topics` is the guidelines where there will be three topics from which I chose the topic Psychopathology and Neurodiversity: Are we pathologizing difference? Because the topic is very general I would like it to be a little more specific. The other two documents are examples of how the work should be and this work needs at least 20 articles and not much more than that.
