A review of the scholarly literature will uncover a prevalence of risky sexual behaviors and a high rate of sexually transmitted infections in individuals over 60 years of age. I have to write an essay in which I illustrate the psychodynamic model of Ronald Laing through a brief reference to a work in the artistic/literary field, which in this case is The Panther by Rainer Maria Rilke. The essay must be written using APA fourth edition referencing style and must not exceed 450 words. I would like a comparison to be made with the work regarding inner imprisonment (a theme addressed in the poem), the loss of the external world, alienated consciousness, and fragmented identity, all themes that are also present in Laings works. It is important that only a few lines be devoted to the connection between the work and Laing, while focusing primarily on the psychological aspects described by the author in his writings. His work Knots is also attached, and I would like it to be mentioned as a starting point to highlight the comparison through its almost literary language and its representation of mental entrapment.
