    Question 2.

    a. What is a Program? Discuss

    b. Under what conditions would your Agency’s program fail to achieve the desired outcomes? Discuss

    b. What would you consider the single weakest link that is likely to lead to the program’s failure? Discuss

    Instructioins

    1. Define the term.

    2. Offer an example to further illustrate your idea/point.

    3. Next, review to make sure that you have resolved the issue(s).

  • A Case Study Analysis of the Impact of Performance Managemen…

(Editing/Writing)**There will be two attached documents. One will have the needed corrections (minor formatting/ add themes to Literature review section), and is titled Covin lit Review. You will make the corrections on the other attachment named ” REV- Lit Review JC”. Please only edit the things that have been noted in red. Everything else has been marked as correct.

Once these corrections have been made, I will need you to add the methodology section. This section should be no longer than 2 pages.

For instructions on this Methodology section please refer to the “Capstone Guide” Attachment on pages 9-10. Thank you for your assistance.

  • A States Role in Criminal Justice, Welfare, and The Environm…

How do crime, poverty, and social welfare programs relate to one another? For this Discussion, present a detailed argument for the relationships of crime, poverty, and social welfare programs in your state or locality where you live. Ask yourself, as a policy maker, how these three variables (crime, poverty, and social welfare) might relate to each other and what, if any, solutions there might be to the problems citizens face. Then, provide a detailed summation of this relationship and identify how your solution would fix one or more of the variables. Remember, your solution has to fit within the context of your state or locality. Therefore, your professor will expect to see citations from sources speaking specifically about these issues in the state of GA and the city of Albany.

  • Problem Set #1

You will use the North Carolina County dataset (NC County Data) that is attached as an excel) to complete the assignment. Note

that the documentation with specifics about the source and definitions for variables

are provided in the corresponding Word Document (File: county_data-notes.doc).

Please write your responses to this assignment in a Word document. Do not submit

a .pdf or any other type of file and do not link to a shared documents, you must

    submit files, not links.

Use the NC County Data (use the first sheet “NC County Data”) to answer the below

    questions.

    1) In a short paragraph, provide a brief description of the dataset. This should

include the following things: the data source, what each observation of data

represents, number of observations, and a brief description of the variables found in

the data set (you will have to summarize, I don’t want you to define all the variables).

See below for an example. (2.5 points)

    2) Generate descriptive statistics for five variables that you choose from the dataset

(use the first sheet “NC County Data”). You can choose any variables, but they must

be numeric and Excel needs the data to be next to each other or else you will get an

error. I provided an example of how to do this in this week’s video on using Excel.

For this exercise, you should use all observations in the sample for the variables you

choose. Use the data analysis tool to generate your descriptive statistics like I did

during the Week 3 class. (2.5 points)

Then, create a table in Word that provides the mean, standard deviation, and the

maximum and minimum values for the five variables that you’ve selected. Do not

copy and paste the format of the output directly from Excel. Instead, organize

the descriptive stats in a concise table with a clear title and descriptive variable

names. See Table 1 for an example of what this table should look like.

    3) In a short paragraph, describe the descriptive statistics table that you have

created. You should not talk about every number in the table, but rather, choose to

highlight some of the variables that you think are important in the data set. If there is

anything odd about the data (e.g. the mean is higher/lower than expected or there is

an unexpected min/max value, Kurtosis, and Skewness ), be sure to mention that in

the paragraph. See below for an example. (2.5 points)

Submit your assignment in a Word file and corresponding Excel file that includes

your data and generated descriptive statistics through Canvas by the deadline. To

get full credit, your Excel file needs to include the descriptive statistics table that you

run through the data analysis tool. If you do not submit your Excel file, you will

receive an automatic 2.5 point deduction. Your written explanations should also be

clear and be in complete sentences. (2.5 points)

    IMPORTANT!!

When you draw graphs, please use different colors for changing curves.

As long as your curves are easy to distinguish, you may draw them by

hand or use the graphing tools in Word or Excel. You can search online.

Please do not submit graphs separately in Excel or PowerPoint files. Make

sure that all answers and graphs are included in a single Word document.

For those who can calculate equations from supply and demand

curve data points, feel free to use them to find exact equilibrium price and

quantity levels. If you don’t know how to calculate it, simply estimate the

approximate equilibrium price and quantity from your graph.

  • Public Administration in the New #2

    Article Selection

    • Choose a current (less than a year old) printed NEWS article (online or print) from a reputable source (no blogs, opinions, press reports, or government reports, etc).
    • Students must use the NCCU Library to locate a NEWS article (
    • ). Any of the following databases can be used by students to locate NEWS articles:
    1. New York Times
    2. News and Observer
    3. NewsBank
    4. Newspaper Source Plus
    5. North Carolina Newspapers
    6. ProQuest Newsstand
    • The article should focus on a public management or public service topic relevant to the course modules specified.

    Memo Structure

    1. Your memo should be 12 pages (single-spaced), using the following structure:
    • Introduction: Briefly introduce the article, its theme, and what you will discuss in the memo. (This section is generally included in long memos but it is not identified with the Introduction header).
    • Article Summary: Summarize the main points and issues of the article. Keep this section concise and focused on reporting exclusively on the article.
    • Implications for Public Management: Analyze the article’s impact or implications on public management, using course concepts to support your analysis making direct connections/links to required course readings up to the due date (linked below). Additional outside research is not permitted.
    • Conclusion: Explain how the article relates to the course material and share your perspective on its relevance.
    • References: List your article and at least one source from the required course readings in APA format. (Do not start this section on a new page. The only nonrequired course reading allowed is the news article. No other outside research is permitted).

Note: Be sure to use APA citations both in-text and in your reference list, even though memos dont typically require them. A sample document is provided in Canvas with more details.

    Tips for Success

Be Strategic in Connecting Course Material: When linking the article to the course, avoid vague references. Provide specific examples from the readings to support your analysis.

Apply the readings to the news article in a meaningful waydont just mention terms like civic engagement without context or explanation

  • Workforce Burnout and Flexibility Policies in Public Adminis…

Building upon the work in the annotated bibliography, thesis, abstract, and outline, you will identify a problem within the field of human resource management in todays public administration. The paper must integrate key legal court cases or regulations related to this issue, ethical considerations and lastly, integrate a biblical worldview into not only the issue, but also the recommendations for the solution. INSTRUCTIONS The paper must include an introduction, background on the issue, detailed presentation of the importance of the issue, discussion of possible solutions, and a recommendation for the solution. The paper must be 14-16 double-spaced pages of content, not counting title page, abstract, or references, and include a minimum of 15 scholarly resources and two classroom readings to support the students work. The paper must include a cover, abstract, and annotated bibliography that do not count towards your final word count. I have included the abstract, annotated bibliography and abstract that I submitted in previous assignments earlier this semester. I will also include 2 classroom readings for review as well.
