    Students will utilize the Capstone Report Guide and the following template to complete the Literature Review Section. APA format is required. This section should be 2 pages and contain the synthesized review of the relevant literature of studies regarding the solution (independent variable addressing the problem/issue) and problem/issue (dependent variable). A total of at least 20 primary resources is required.

    The synthesis involves students discussing the literature review subsections on their variables based up themes (at least for each variable) as opposed to just discussing one author/article at a time.

    Students are to paraphrase the synthesized literature and refrain from the use of direct quotes. Only in very critical situations may a short direct quote be used.

    All citations will require the use of page numbers regardless if it is a direct quote or

    paraphrase information. The APA style in text citations only require page numbers for direct quotes. However, the instructor is specifically requesting the use of page numbers for all in text citations.

    Imagine that you work in the information technology department of a federal organization that processes American citizens’ financial and personally identifiable data.
