  • HR memo – DEIJ related work-place equity issue (SEXUAL HARAS…

This assignment is an HR memo that has to be based on a DEIJ-related workplace equity issue. The specific issue for this assignment is SEXUAL HARASSMENT. I’ve uploaded a sample for you to draw from. This memo will be graded based on the following components:

    1. Draft the purpose and outline of your message (3.75 points). Memos from human resources can be informational, such as policy or procedural updates, or they can be written confirmation of employment actions, such as documentation for disciplinary review or termination. As you draft the outline, determine your reader’s position or title, background, and qualifications

    2. Gather the data necessary to substantiate your topic (3.75 points). For example, if you’re writing about a policy change, get copies of current handbooks and standard operating procedures. Also, obtain revised policy statements that have been disseminated after your handbook was published. If the policies have to do with processes, such as technology, obtain step-by-step instructions for using the new technology.

    3. Identify the employees you are targeting in this HR memo (3.75 points). List the department or the ranks/titles of these employees. Determine who your readers are and adjust the language accordingly. For example, if you’re writing to IT specialists about procedural matters, they will understand technology-speak. However, if you’re writing a memo about IT processes and your audience consists of more than IT staff, prepare it so it’s understandable for a broad audience.

    4. Indicate whether HR memos are confidential (3.75 points). HR correspondence can contain sensitive information about wages and terms and conditions about employment matters, such as benefits, discipline, HR metrics, and HR strategic plans.

PLEASE REACH OUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR REQUIRE ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION.

  • Reflective Memo- MPA

Please review the attached portfolio instructions doc. Then review the portfolio paper doc to complete the reflective memo that summarizes what has been learned throughout the MPA program. Reflections should revolve around the assignments that you chose to include in your Portfolio ( see the portfolio paper for all assignments). It should summarize what you have accomplished in completing the MPA degree and should synthesize what you can therefore contribute to an organization. It should then address your ultimate career goals and the steps that you could be taken to achieve those goals. The memo is to be concise at 3-4 double spaced pages in length, and to employ appropriate grammar and APA citation style. Points will be deducted for grammar and citation errors.

Career goals should be written as if: My goal is to work as a strategic analyst and advisor in the public sector using data, systems thinking, and compliance knowledge to help leaders make informed, ethical decisions.

Do NOT complete the resume portion. Plagiarism results must be provided for pay. No AI usage or I will have to cancel the order.

  • The Private Sector

The private sector is profit-driven and will take all necessary steps to ensure their money is not unnecessarily spent. A significant loss or mismanagement of money places private companies at risk of not paying their employees, poor standing in the stock market, or even bankruptcy and business closure. The public sector is not profit-driven, and there is little incentive to reduce project costs or manage projects within an established budget.

For example, in 2005, the US Air Force initiated a project named the Expeditionary Combat Support System (ECSS). The ECSS was a system that would replace more than 200 legacy Air Force information systems. After spending over $1.03 billion to develop the system, the Air Force abandoned the project in 2017 after concluding it would cost an additional $1.1 billion to finish development. Further, the ECSS would not be available for use until after 2020. The project was complex and was to integrate systems that were not designed to communicate between platforms easily. It is evident that several failures occurred, preventing the ECSS from being fully developed and implemented to support the Air Force.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

    1. Identify reasons why the US Air Force’s ECSS project failed.
    2. Identify key steps the Air Force could have taken to manage the risk that the complexity of the project posed to the successful development of the ECSS.
    3. If you were advising the Air Force on the project, would you have recommended the Air Force terminate the project before expending the initial $1.03 billion? Identify the specific reason or factors you would have used to support your recommendation.

Please respond in six to ten sentences. Use one policy issue for your entire response; you may draw from a DCo Forward 2029 focus area or another issue if you prefer.

    1. In one sentence, define a policy actor (in policy formation terms) and name two distinct actor types relevant to your issue.
    2. In one sentence, define power in the policy process and identify one concrete power resource or strategy (e.g., information, mobilization, access, funding, venue choice, narrative framing) that could matter for your issue.
    3. Define an advocacy coalition and identify one plausible coalition for your issue. Further, list the mission, purpose, and vision that unite coalition members.
    4. In one sentence, apply the ACF by stating one policy belief that likely anchors your coalition and one counter-belief held by an opposing coalition or key actor(s).
    5. In one sentence, name one likely venue and level of government where coalition conflict would play out (e.g., federal/state/local; NC legislature, agency, court/board).
    6. In one to two sentences, identify one administrative capacity or implementation constraint that could shape outcomes (e.g., staffing, expertise, authority, data, coordination, funding, legitimacy) and state one likely effect on policy performance.

Completion standard: responses must address all elements, stay within the sentence limit, and use terms in ways that are consistent with the assigned readings. – attached below
