  • Qualitative and Quantitative Methods

    Part 1

As a researcher, you will need a firm understanding of research methods to help you develop an appropriate research design.

    Discuss the following

    • Describe the key characteristics of qualitative and quantitative research methods outlined in Creswell and Creswell (2023). What is the primary purpose of each method, and how do these approaches align with their respective philosophical worldviews (e.g., postpositivist for quantitative, constructivist for qualitative)?
    • Discuss at least two challenges associated with using each method, such as sampling, data collection, or analysis issues. Provide specific examples from the textbook to support your response.

    part 2

Qualitative and quantitative research methods serve different purposes in the research process.

    Discuss the following

    • Using Creswell & Creswell (2023) as your guide, explain how the purposes of these methods influence the choice of research design (e.g., survey, experimental, phenomenology, ethnography).
    • Additionally, it discusses the challenges researchers might face when implementing these methods, such as managing large datasets in quantitative studies or ensuring reflexivity and validity in qualitative research. Include examples from the textbook that illustrate how researchers can overcome these challenges.

  • Public Health Question

Hi, Please read and review the Evaluation Tool Development Worksheet Ive attached for this assignment. I have already started working on it and completed up to question 4, but I need help finishing the rest.

The assignment needs to be completed correctly and based on the example the professor provided. I will also attach the previous assignments that are connected to this one in case you need to refer to them while completing it. Please let me know if you would like me to send those as well.

When completing this assignment, please use simple wording so it is easy for me to read and understand.

*Please do NOT use AI or ChatGPT-generated language and do not plagiarize, as my professor is very strict about originality and academic integrity. All responses should be written in original wording and should sound like student work.*

*If you have access to Turnitin, please run my assignment through Turnitin. The assignment needs to have a 0% AI report. Please send me the report once the assignment is completed.*

I have also attached an example of how the form should be filled out: Evaluation Tool Development Worksheet_LOOM EXAMPLE.docx

    ASSUMPTIONS OF YOUR PROGRAM EVALUATION:

This assignment will help your group move from planning to implementation by identifying the actual evaluation instruments (surveys, interview guides, etc.) you will use to measure your program outcomes.

By the end of this assignment, you should:

    • Know what construct and outcome your measurement tool is focused on
    • Know each question that is included in your measurement tool.
    • Understand how responses are coded and scored (including possible score ranges).
    • Be ready for Dr. Bloom to create mock data for your program evaluation analysis later in the semester.

    Assignment Instructions:

Now that youve completed Group Assignment #1 and worked in class to identify your constructs and measurement tools, its time to build your actual evaluation instrument(s). Each member of your group will submit an Evaluation Tool Development Worksheet describing their tool, providing survey / scale items, and how each tool is scored. You should submit this as a Google Docensuring Dr. Bloom and Nichelle have editing access.

    Instrument Development (Quantitative and/or Qualitative)

Depending on your evaluation design (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods):

    • Quantitative: Provide your full survey instrument,
    • Qualitative: Develop 36 open-ended questions per qualitative construct associated with the specific outcome. Remember qualitative items should be aligned with the evaluation outcome, non-leading, and appropriate to your target population (e.g., language level, cultural sensitivity – see Oregon State University Resource on Interview Guides for examples).

    Evaluation Instrument Builder Document:

Each person in a group should submit an Evaluation Tool Development Worksheet

Download the Evaluation Tool Development Worksheet focused on their outcome. This helps ensure you understand your tool and allows Dr. Bloom to simulate data for your program. Dr. Bloom will create mock data based on the information you provide, which you will analyze and include for a Group Assignment later in the semester.

  • I need someone to do this project for me

Hello I need someone to do this project for me exactly as instructed. Please no AI and don’t overcomplicate.I will provide all the documents needed.

my assigned community was Watseka, IL

please complete the full section exactly as instructed according to the rubric

  • Diary of food

The diary should be min 400 and max 500 words (reference will not be included in the word count). You will need to attach both the trigger piece (non academic material) and a self taken photo illustrating a real world example related to your reflection. Topic can not be the same as diary 1 Remember, self- reflection is not a summary/ report. Trigger piece should be current, and the topic should relate to presentation topic(s) and discussion (refer to uploaded students PDF PPT).

View the grading rubric for this deliverable by selecting the Grading rubric in the right menu.

    Scenario

Your supervisor has asked each public health nurse to research a different vaccine-preventable communicable disease and prepare a communication document about the disease. These communication documents will be used to support your department in better understanding the public health issues, the potential consequences to the population, and the actions that public health nurses can take to educate and provide services for the population.

As the senior public health nurse in your department, your supervisor has requested that you select your communicable disease to research first, and then they will assign your coworkers their communicable disease topic.

    Objectives

    • Assess education strategies to prevent and control communicable diseases.
    • Identify the public health nurse’s role in surveillance measures performed.
    • Examine the public health nurse’s role in applying basic principles of epidemiology in interventions during a disease outbreak.

    Instructions

    Vaccine-Preventable Communicable Disease Management

    • Develop a written report regarding one of the vaccine-preventable diseases below:
    • Measles
    • Pertussis
    • Mpox
    • Describe the disease from an epidemiologic perspective, including application of the epidemiologic triad.
    • Describe the historical and current prevalence and incidence of the selected disease
    • Compare the evidence regarding the outcomes of experiencing the disease with the side effects of vaccination.
    • Describe the public health nurses role in surveillance, education for prevention, and applying basic principles of epidemiology through interventions during an outbreak of this disease.

Provide stated ideas with professional language and attribution for credible sources with correct APA citation, spelling, and grammar in the report.

    1) define distal and proximal influences and provide an example of each. answer in 4 sentences

    2) Define primary secondary and tertiary prevention and provide examples of each.

    3) MR JOHN is called in by a local school district to help a school determine why there has been significant increase in school absences over the past 6 months. Mr john follows the precede-proceed model and initiates Phase 1. Mr john talks to the school nurse , the principal , a few teachers and the administrator in charge of tracking attendance and makes observations and collects data. Within a week, Mr. John learns that many students reported flu-like symptoms to the nurse and the school did not offer or promote flu-vaccinations. Mr.john then moves on to phase 2 and begins to assess risk behaviors for aquiring and spreading the flu. If you were MR. john would u have conducted phase 1 any differently? if so explain. in complete sentences

    4) while modifying factors and cues to action have an indirect role in behavior change, the health belief model suggests that two constructs directly influence health behavior. Name and give a brief description of those 2 constructs.

    5) In the transtheoritical model of change (TMC) what is the difference between processes of change and their associated techniques? Give an example of each in complete sentences

  • Epidemiological Analysis of Conjunctivitis Outbreak

With given scenario, you will identify and analyze the factors that contributed to the transmission of that outbreak. You will then identify any gaps in the evidence or data and explain how those gaps would be helpful in furthering the analysis of the outbreak. Finally, you will analyze the patterns found in the data to explain any differences or irregularities.
