Please prepare and submit the first section of your country case study as a PowerPoint presentation before next weeks live session containing the following:

1. Title page with your name and your selected country.
2. The first part of your term project analysis covers the broad context for your country (nothing on health in this part only country context) and the history (evolution) of the health system for your country. Look at both Germany and the UK to compare and contrast the evolution of a healthcare system.

A program plan is a written report that will follow standard scientific format. Each student will select a Public Health Scenario. There is no page limit and the goal is to adequately describe certain aspects of the program listed below and demonstrate the students attainment of the selected MPH concentration competencies (found in your course Syllabus). Each student will select at least 4 competencies to demonstrate.

This Assignment is an OUTLINE for the Program Plan (see the guidelines for the Program Plan below) and may be presented in a bullet-point format or headers with brief descriptions of what will be included in the final Program Plan:

Description of the program components (e.g., description of lesson topics, workshops, etc.); essentially, you will describe the aspects of your plan. How will your target population receive the proposed plan?

Implementation Setting- Describe the setting in which your program will be implemented.

Competencies

List the 4 competencies (2 CEPH MPH and 2 others from the school, *to be provided* concentration) that will guide the development of your program plan.

Describe how you will demonstrate those competencies in the development of your program plan.

Theoretical Framework

Brief description of the public health theory that will guide the development of your program plan.

Methods

Brief description of the quantitative and/or qualitative methods that will be used and the benefits of using these methods. (e.g., will you use a survey, conduct interviews or focus groups, etc. to assess the effectiveness of your program?).

Dissemination Plan

How you will disseminate the findings of your proposed program plan to community stakeholders

Submit a 2-page double-spaced Think Piece and develop a discussion question for the class. Each Think Piece should provide an integrative analysis of one primary source and one secondary source assigned for that day. You can assume your reader is already knowledgeable about the topic, so be concise; there is no need to over-contextualize the sources youve chosen. To ensure depth over breadth, your Think Piece should be incisive, cite relevant textual or visual evidence from the historical document and the scholarly text, and directly respond to one of the following prompts. In addition, you should give your Think Piece a title something that goes beyond “Think Piece #1” and instead captures the main points of your analysis. At the bottom of your think piece, include one discussion question that encourages students to directly analyze the content, arguments, and analysis presented in the materials assigned for that day. Prompt: Identify a passage, data point, or visual detail in the primary source that you find particularly significant. How do the arguments, theoretical frameworks, or key concepts discussed in the secondary source help you interpret the meaning of this specific piece of historical evidence?
