  • The Yellow Wallpaper story

Options for your essay include the following (choose one): Part of Gilmans skill in creating this story was leading the reader back and forth between actual events and the narrators distorted view of reality. What effect does this create, and how does such blurring of lines add to the story? How does Gilman use elaborate description of the wallpaper to create an effect in her story? How would you describe that effect? The narrator of the story is unreliable, and the story is not so much a factual report as it is the account of what is going on around a woman experiencing mental illness from her perspective. How do the narrators rational words in the storys first paragraph contrast with her words in the final paragraph of the story? Youll be using the yellow wallpaper story

Using the template below, develop an annotated bibliography for your informative speech. You should provide the full APA or MLA citation for each source (Links for Citation Style Guides provided below). Source 1 Full Citation: Summary: Evaluation of Source: How can you use this source in your speech? How can you make this source relatable for your audience members? Source 2 Full Citation: Summary: Evaluation of Source: How can you use this source in your speech? How can you make this source relatable for your audience members? Source 3 Full Citation: Summary: Evaluation of Source: How can you use this source in your speech? How can you make this source relatable for your audience members? Citation Resources A bibliography citation refers to the format of your sources in your References or Works Cited list. Please consult with your instructor on the appropriate style guide to use. APA Style Guide: MLA Style Guide: also this is what you’re going to base it on 1. What is the topic of your speech? I am going to discuss the rising demand of skilled trade workers and the transformation of college degree in the current workforce, in my informative speech. I will explain why fewer people are entering trades, what it means for the economy and how college enrollment has shot up even in fields in which a degree may not guarantee employment. I want the audience to become more aware of what is happening in today’s labor market and what opportunities exist with each route. 2. Why did you choose this topic? I chose this topic because there is a strong societal push for students to attend college even when their desired careers may not require a degree. At the same time, skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical work, and welding are experiencing worker shortages. I think many people are unaware of how profitable and stable trade careers can be. This topic is important because it directly impacts career decisions that young adults are making right now. 3. How will you make this topic relevant/relatable to your audience members? I will make this topic relatable by connecting it to the experiences of college students who are devoting their time and money into their education. Many students are concerned about job security, debt, and future income, which makes this topic highly relevant. I can personally relate to both perspectives because I have experience working in a blue-collar field while also pursuing a college education. This allows me to understand the expectations, demands, and perks that are related to each road path. I will provide statistics about job growth, salary comparisons, and shortages of workers. My personal experience combined with fair facts will help the audience comprehend the positive and negative aspects of both job option paths
