Effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions for anxiety…
Evidence-Based Practice Paper (Topic; Effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions for anxiety in college students) Rationale: Social workers are expected to understand evidence-based practices (EBP)s and then to educate, network and evaluate as part of their profession. Having updated research knowledge and updated community resource knowledge about problems addressed by social workers ensures efficacious practice. Instructions: Students will write a paper on an evidence-based practice for a problem in an area of interest to the student, and then critique their community resources using the literature review as a guide. Use paper outline to write paper. Criteria for Assignment: 8-10 page paper APA style format Title page, Abstract, & Reference page 10 references minimum Paper Outline: A brief description of the problem. This section should describe the scope of the issue within your community include relevant statistics and data. A literature review of articles describing evidence-based practices for the problem. This section should be based on articles taken directly from the original research (i.e. peer reviewed journals). NOTE: Information from the articles should be synthesized, not simply described one by one. Please describe the research that establishes your chosen practice as evidence based. Include if the EBP has been researched within a diverse group. You must include 2 different groups (age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, class). At least one group has to be based on intersectionality-for example African American women, older White males, refugees, LGBTQ2IA+). If you have a difficult time finding enough articles for a particularly narrow problem (i.e. cutting/self-mutilating behaviors among Native American adolescent males), consider looking at related articles (i.e. cutting among other populations). While this may or may not be perfectly relevant, use good judgment in how would apply the findings. (By the way, your problem does NOT have to be that narrow!) A description of the services for the problem in your community. Include a listing and BRIEF description of agencies, professions employed at the agency including key professional values and orientations, practitioners, websites, support groups, community activities, etc. Identify what EBPs are utilized by the agency. You should specifically address if the agency utilized the EBP you researched above as well as any other EBPs utilized. A critique of the services in your community based on the literature review. Be sure to: Develop and use clear criteria for your critique. Focus on whether or not the service/agency utilizes the EBPs described above. You may also assess availability of services, outcome data, and other of indicators of effective practice. Give a grade for how you think your community measures up to what we know works (EBP). Give a rationale for your grade. -

Each QCQ must include the following four labeled sections: Source Information Quote Comment Question(s) (MY TOPIC IS JUVENILE CRIMES) This week we are going to cover our focus on serious crimes and how we use violence as entertainment. By the end of the week (Sunday at 11:59pm), you need to complete two assignments: QCQ 4 and QCQ 5. These two QCQs are dedicated to television or YouTube Segments. However, I want to open this up a bit more and say that if you want to use a YouTube video that covers a specific case you are studying, I will allow it instead of focusing too narrowly on whether media bias leans a specific way. For example, a popular YouTuber named Mr. Ballen often recounts crime stories that his audiences use as entertainment. In this video, he tells the story of Jayme Closs’s abduction which would work for the topic of Kidnapping ( ). There are tons of these examples because society loves a good “true crime” story and we often use these as the reality, when it is just a celebrated case. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. -
