Vision
First consider the following scenario: For 10 years, the ABC pediatric group in Chicago has managed to make a profit, although the market for pediatrics in Chicago is very competitive. The group consists of 15 physicians, 7 nurse practitioners/physician assistants, 27 nurses, and 10 support/administrative/office staff. Although they have been able to maintain a nominal profit each year for the past 10 years, they want to increase their profit margin while continuing to honor the mission, vision, and values of the practice. To tackle this assignment, you will explain how ABCs values support its mission and vision by applying what you have learned from your course materials. Based on what you learned about marketing strategies, you will make recommendations on how to ensure an increase in profit within such a competitive industry while honoring and maintaining ABCs mission, vision, and values. You will explain how ABCs values support its mission and vision, while ensuring a larger profit margin. You will accomplish this by answering the following questions: * Values/Mission/Vision: How can ABC ensure that their values support their mission and vision? Within this section, you will integrate and apply what you have learned from the course materials about organizational values and supporting the company mission and vision. * Marketing Strategies: What marketing strategies can ABC implement to ensure a larger profit margin for the group and stay true to its mission, vision, and values? You want to be as specific as possible and justify the recommended strategies. Within this section, you will integrate and apply what you learned from the textbooks on marketing strategies. Please do not present your recommendations in the form of bullet points. -

Problems in Journalism
Discuss how the audience segmentation and politicization of journalism, namely in Cable news, has had real-world consequences in everyday discourse. In your response, also consider how the cable news industry and digital shift have affected the news product and the industry overall. Has the pressure of keeping up with the pace of never-ending news cycle exacerbated by cable news affected the way local news is produced? How has the 24 hour news cycle blurred the lines between journalism and commentary? Should the contributors of commentary with no journalistic training be beholden to the same ethics and standards of truth as trained journalists? You are allowed to use your textbook as one source. The textbook is Issues in Contemporary American Journalism Hans Schmidt. Please use at least three additional sources including, but not limited to, scholarly research articles, research from platforms that monitor the industry, commentary from veteran journalists about the state of the industry, etc. Your paper should be 10-12 pages, double spaced, 12 point font. It will be due Feb. 13 by 11:59 p.m. -

Successful retirement and effective planning
The goal of this paper is to examine the concept of successful retirement and highlight how effective planning can positively impact an individual’s financial, social, and psychological well-being during retirement. For this assignment, you will conduct a review of current online articles from sources such as Forbes, CNN Money, Bloomberg, AARP, and the Social Security website, among others, to gather information about retirement age and savings needed. Additionally, using a free online retirement calculator from T. Rowe Price or another suggested resource listed in Topic 4, you will estimate the amount needed to save for retirement based on your anticipated career after graduation and average pay scale.
The assignment is comprised of three main sections, and you are required to address the following aspects of retirement in an APA-formatted paper of 1,000-1,500 words:
Section 1: Key Career Factors
Discuss some key factors to consider when thinking about the type of career you want (e.g., control over time, income, personality factors). Justify your response with current, scholarly support.
Section 2: Description of Retirement
Analyze and describe the following aspects of retirement, including:
- Describe what retirement is and identify the aspects that you find most appealing.
- Identify the age at which you would like to retire and explain your reasons for choosing that age. Determine the amount you need to save according to the retirement calculator. Factor in the current salary for your desired career in your state. Use the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics site to help you determine the median salary for your selected career.
- Describe your biggest concerns about retirement and what challenges you foresee.
- Describe the concept of ageism, and some biases that elderly adults may face as one approaches retirement.
- Describe a few steps you need to take to ensure you have an adequate amount saved for retirement (e.g., investments, savings, budget).
Section 3: Life Post Retirement

- Describe how you plan to maintain your physical activity and how you will challenge your mind as you age. Share some expert advice.
- Locate at least one retired person (or couple) and solicit their advice about retirement (e.g., what would they do differently? Suggestions for a successful retirement?). Describe whether their advice aligns with the research and content in your textbook, and provide an explanation.
A minimum of three scholarly sources are required, not including the calculator. Please use the following headings in your paper to organize your content:
