Formulate a strategy for data collection
Utilize both Chapter 3: Research Methodology templates to complete the subheadings Study Procedures and Data Collection and Analysis for both a case study and a phenomenological study. You will turn in two separate documentsone submission for the case study and one submission for the phenomenology. Review Dr. Haley Burtons Chapter 3 for Case Study as an example. Review Dr. Lynette Mundys Chapter 3 for Phenomenology as an example. The Study Procedures section requires 500600 words for both the phenomenological and case study portions. The 500600 words should be divided into 3 to 4 paragraphs. The Data Collection and Analysis section also requires 500600 words for both the phenomenological and case study portions. The 500600 words should be divided into 3 to 4 paragraphs. Do not complete anything beyond these two subheadings. Do not address Population and Sample or any subheadings that follow. Length: 500600 words spread across 3 to 4 paragraphs for each methodology. research should be on how social media affects entrepreneurs -

Population Selection & Epidemiological Data Analysis
Healthy People 2030 objective focused on reducing maternal mortality and eliminating racial disparities in pregnancy-related deaths.Introduction
In this assignment, you will select a specific population experiencing health disparities and conduct an epidemiological analysis to understand the scope and impact of a health issue within that group. This foundational work is your first step toward developing a targeted intervention proposal and crafting a compelling pitch aimed at improving health equity within an integrated care setting. The data you gather here will guide your analysis of root causes and inform the design of an intervention that is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and tailored to the needs of your chosen population.
Directions
Requirements at a Glance:
- Length: 2 – 3 pages (not including title page or References)
- Sources: 2 – 3 sources of recent data, within the past 5 years.
- Format: APA format, with title page, in-text citations, and References
- Model: View a
- for structure and expectations.
- Select Your Population and Health Issue
- Choose a population group that experiences notable health disparities. This could be defined by race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, disability status, geographic location, or another relevant social identity.
- Consider intersectionality how overlapping identities (e.g., race, gender, socioeconomic status, disability) and systemic factors together influence health outcomes for your population.
- Identify a specific health issue or disease that disproportionately affects this population. Examples include diabetes in Native American communities, maternal mortality among Black women, or asthma in low-income urban children.
- Gather Epidemiological Data
- Research and collect quantitative data to describe the health issue within your chosen population. Aim to include the following:
- Prevalence and/or incidence: How common is the health issue? How many new cases occur?
- Mortality and morbidity rates: How many deaths or disease complications occur due to this condition?
- Trends over time: Has the situation improved, worsened, or remained stable?
- Comparisons: How does the populations health outcome compare to other groups or the general population?
- Additional relevant statistics: Hospitalization rates, access to care, or any other epidemiological measures related to your health issue.
- Where possible, include data reflecting intersectional groups (e.g., Black women, low-income LGBTQ+ youth). If such data are limited or unavailable, note this limitation and discuss its impact on understanding health equity.
- Use Credible Sources
- Utilize at least 2-3 reputable sources such as government health databases (CDC, WHO, NIH), peer-reviewed journal articles, or reports from recognized health organizations.
- Provide full citations for your sources.
- Analyze and Summarize Your Findings
- Write a concise report (approximately 2 – 3 pages) that:
- Describes your chosen population and health issue.
- Presents key epidemiological data with context.
- Highlights any notable disparities or trends that emerge from the data.
- Explains how intersectional identities and social determinants may influence the epidemiological patterns you observe.
- Explains why this data is important for understanding the health equity challenges faced by this population.
Submission
- Your paper should be written in APA 7 format and must include a title page with disclosures as directed and a References page. Use the Writing Center’s

Disclosure of Artificial Intelligence and Writing Tools
Remember to disclose any tool or technology that significantly contributed to the writing process or directly influenced the paper’s content.
In an APA-formatted paper, a disclosure is considered a type of author note. These are titled as Author Note and are typically placed on the bottom half of the title page. See the APA Manual, 7th edition, page 35 for more information.
When disclosing the use of tools, indicate the tool used, whether it was a paid version and what kind, and how the tool was used. If no tools or artificial intelligences were used, state that as well.

WEEK 5 DISCUSSION
For this discussion, you will examine the effects on the community that result from a mass murder, or when a serial killer is active.
Since we are looking at the reaction that the killer generates, choose from one of the following killers:
- David Berkowitz (New York)
- Wayne Williams (Atlanta)
- Danny Rolling (Gainesville, Florida)
Use the South University Online Library and review popular news magazines like Time and US News, or newspapers from the local area, so that you can put yourself in the position of someone in the community who was living through that time period. For instance, for the Rolling case, look at the Gainesville Sun from that time period; if you choose David Berkowitz, check out the New York Times or NY Post. This will give you a connection to the case you won’t get from a website created long after the fact. Based on your review, discuss the following questions.
- Describe the effects of the case on the local community.
- Did local residents change their behavior in any way?
- Did the police involve the community in the investigation? What other effects on the community might such a case cause?
