  • Social Change Project and Final Report

Over the past several weeks, you have analyzed a policy related to a social problem and have advocated for change. However, your analysis may reveal that the original policy created and implemented to address the social problem is no longer viable for a variety of reasons. In this case, you must explore a policy alternative. For this Assignment, you will identify a policy alternative to better alleviate the social problem you identified. Then you will submit your final report on your experience and the outcomes of your Social Change Project. I am attaching previous assignments that goes along with this.

  • Concept Mapping Expansion (Part 2)

Assignment Instructions Concept Mapping Expansion (Part 2)

This assignment builds directly from Part 1 (Introduction to Concept Mapping) and expands the conceptual development of my dissertation topic. The goal is to refine and extend it.

    Please follow the instructions carefully.

Updated Dissertation Focus (Use This Exactly)

My dissertation will examine how transportation burden, perceived stigma, and therapeutic alliance influence early treatment engagement and retention among adults ages 1864 receiving outpatient mental health services in rural community mental health centers in Georgia.

All sections must reflect this narrowed focus (Georgia, not Southern U.S. broadly).

    Part 2 Requirements

    1. Revise and Align Part 1 (Light Editing Only)

Update geographic focus from Southern United States to rural Georgia

Ensure engagement and retention are clearly referenced (not just retention)

Add new citations if absolutely necessary

Do not re-expand into broad regional framing

    2. Identify and Simplify Key Concepts

Create a clearly labeled section titled:

    Key Simplified Concepts

    This section should:

Break down complex ideas into simplified, clear conceptual themes

    Use short explanatory paragraphs

Focus on conceptual clarity, not heavy literature review

    The simplified concepts should include:

    Access is not enough

    Structural barriers (transportation, workforce shortages)

    Cultural/psychological factors (stigma)

    Relational factors (therapeutic alliance)

    Distinction between engagement and retention

This section should translate the topic into clear, digestible themes.

    3. Implications for Practice

    Create a clearly labeled section:

    Implications for Practice

    Focus on:

How clinicians in rural community mental health centers can apply these findings

    Importance of early engagement strategies

    Addressing transportation barriers during intake

Strengthening therapeutic alliance intentionally in early sessions

Recognizing stigma as a treatment barrier

This should be practical and application-focused, not abstract.

    4. Implications for Policy

    Create a clearly labeled section:

    Implications for Policy

    Focus on:

Need for policies addressing transportation access

    Workforce shortages in rural Georgia

Retention-focused funding models (not just access expansion)

Importance of investing in relational and continuity-of-care strategies

Keep it grounded in rural Georgia context.

    5. Implications for Research

    Create a clearly labeled section:

    Implications for Research

    Focus on:

Distinguishing engagement from retention in measurement

    Importance of region-specific rural research

Multi-factor models combining structural, cultural, and relational predictors

    Gaps this study addresses

This section should clearly justify the contribution of the study.

  • Interview with a Social Worker Assignment

I interviewed with a Social Worker, I am submitting to you the list on questions I asked with her answers. I will also submit with the assignment instructions. This is supposed to be an essay about our interview and my reflective thoughts about it. I will submit the examples from the textbook as well regarding the structure of the assignment. I will be submitting my list of questions seperately, so no need to worry about that part on the instructions. Thanks!

  • Week 7 Assignment: Logic Model and Presentation for Communit…

Imagine you are a social service agency director and you have been contacted by a foundation to obtain funding to develop collaborative community-based services to meet the needs of the population of your choice. (You may continue to focus on the population or issue you identified in Week 6, or you may select a different group.) They have asked for you to develop and present a logic model to address the gap as well as innovative programs to meet the needs of the population you serve. You need to assess the current resources that are available within your community, the gap in services, and the use of best practices to identify recommendations for the new program to enhance interventions for clinical practice with families groups, organizations, and communities. You will present this logic model in a video-recorded presentation to the hypothetical grant funders in which you will also discuss and defend your recommended interventions. Instructions Building from the topic or population you chose for your Week 6 group assignment or using a different topic of your choice, you will create a logic model that you will also present in a video-recorded presentation that identifies resources and best practices that address your chosen issue or population. Please complete the logic model and share it during your video-recorded presentation. You will submit the presentation and completed logic model for your assignment. Visit the following for an example of a completed logic model: Application of Logic Models. Items required in the logic model: Provide brief and concise statistics that identify the community problem you are analyzing. Clearly state the problem statement. Assess the gaps in service in the community and provide a synopsis of what programs are missing to address the issue. Provide at least two smart goals that provide insight into the innovative organization of community- and evidence-based intervention you are recommending to address this issue. Identify a minimum of six inputs needed for the recommended evidence-based interventions. Discuss the evidence-based activities to best impact this community need through your innovative intervention. (Identify at least three.) Discuss the research-based expected output measures as the result of the activities. Additionally: Each logic model must include a title you give to a community issue and the community for which the model is being developed. Present your logic model through the media format of your choice (some examples would include YouTube, Zoom, Teams, and Google) that is no longer than 57 minutes long. During this presentation, please provide details about the logic model and at a minimum: Define the problem and some current statistics facing your community about your chosen topic. Research and address the gaps in services in your community, what services are available, and where clear gaps appear in service. Discuss two measurable smart goals that your community could establish to address this issue. Discuss the inputs an agency or community would need to offer the intervention. Evaluate evidence-based research on which activity or intervention you would recommend to address this community issue. Analyzing the research and discuss what literature shares about expected outputs for this recommended intervention. Discuss your recommendations for the next steps for the community to start to address your chosen topic. Additional Requirements Format: YouTube, Zoom, Teams, Google, et cetera. See Microsoft 365 Software Links to an external site.. Length: 57 minutes. Font and font size: 12 point, Times New Roman. Written communication: Create content that is clear and logical, with correct use of grammar, punctuation, and mechanics.
