Objective

The purpose of this assignment is to help students understand the role of major financial institutions in SaudiArabia and their contribution to the financial system and economic development. The assignment also aimsto develop students communication, teamwork, and professional presentation skills.

Each group will prepare a short presentation about one of the following institutions:

1. National Debt Management Center (NDMC)
2. Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA)
3. Government Expenditures and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO)4. Tadawul Group (Saudi Exchange Group)

Presentation Guidelines (10 minutes)

Each group should address the following points:1. Overview of the institution

o When was it established?

o What is its main mission and role?2. Role in the Saudi financial system

o How does the institution support the economy?

o Which sectors or stakeholders does it serve?3. Key activities and services

o Main programs, initiatives, or financial services provided.4. Governance and regulation

o Which authority oversees or regulates the institution?5. Social responsibility and economic impact

o How does the institution contribute to economic development, sustainability, or financialinclusion?

Individual Research Proposal Assignment (30 Mark)

Purpose of the Assignment

This assignment aims to develop students ability to design a systematic, ethical, and academically sound business research proposal. The proposal should demonstrate understanding of research problem formulation, literature review, research design, methodology, and questionnaire development.

Instructions

Each student must prepare an individual research proposal (3,5004,500 words) on a contemporary business-related topic relevant to MBA specialization areas.

Structure of the Research Proposal (with Hints)

1. Title of the Study

Clear, concise, and research-focused. The title should reflect key variables and context.

2. Introduction and Background of the Study

Provide an overview of the business context, industry background, current challenges, and justification for the study.

Hint: Move from general context to specific research need.

3. Statement of the Problem

Clearly articulate the core research problem and explain why it is significant both practically and academically.

4. Research Objectives

List 35 specific and measurable objectives aligned with the problem statement.

5. Research Questions / Hypotheses

Formulate research questions or testable hypotheses linking key variables.

6. Significance of the Study

Explain how the study will benefit managers, organizations, academia, and future researchers.

7. Scope and Delimitations

Define the boundaries of the study in terms of industry, location, respondents, and time frame.

8. Review of Literature

Review 1015 recent scholarly articles. Organize the review thematically and clearly identify the research gap.

9. Conceptual Framework

Present a diagrammatic framework showing relationships among variables. All relationships must be theoretically justified.

10. Research Methodology

a. Research Design (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed)

b. Population and Sample (sampling technique and size)

11. Questionnaire Design

Develop a structured questionnaire using Likert-scale items.

Discuss informed consent, confidentiality, anonymity, and voluntary participation.

13. Expected Outcomes

State the anticipated academic and managerial contributions.

14. Limitations of the Study

Highlight possible methodological and contextual limitations.

Include 1520 academic references using APA or Harvard style.

You are managing the online ordering and billing system upgrade project. Engaging stakeholders is something that the project manager must manage. Effective stakeholder engagement will positively impact the project performance and outcomes. The project manager will need to communicate not only with their team but also with all project stakeholders internally and externally to report project progress and other types of communication. It can be argued that the most important quality of a project manager is good communication skills. Without effective communication, the project manager risks the disintegration of the project.

Assignment Guidelines:

• Identify the stakeholders who must be engaged for the project using the following .
• Perform stakeholder analysis by using examples from A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide)Seventh Edition, Section 2.1.1.2, and complete the stakeholder register or log template.
• Describe the required types of communication by following the PMBOK Guide, Section 2.1.1.4, Table 2.1. You may create a table similar to the table in Section 2.1.1.4.
• Create a communications plan matrix. Create a table that defines the following:
  • Who you communicate with
  • What you communicate about
  • How often communication occurs
  • Which type(s) of communication you will use from the list above.
• Summarize your final strategies for stakeholder engagement based on your project management selected approach: Agile or Waterfall.
