Critical reflection
Critical Reflection At the beginning of the module, you were introduced to a scenario: You are a fisheries ecologist who monitors commercially-important fish species in the the northern Gulf of Alaska. And you are interested in learning about how life history traits and reproductive strategies intersect with overharvesting practices. And now, for your narrative reflection statement assignment, relate the information you learned in this module to this critical reflection question by writing 2-3 paragraphs: As a fisheries ecologist, how might you describe what might happen to future genetic variability, following decades of selecting on the genetic variation of commercially-important fish species? Connections to the field! To learn more about marine ecosystem responses to environmental variability and the roles ecologists play, visit the Northern Gulf of Alaska Long-Term Ecological Research website for more information! -

How does artificial intelligence impact education, jobs, pri…
Artificial intelligence impacts education, jobs, privacy, and daily life in many ways. In education, AI helps students learn through personalized lessons, online tutors, and smart learning apps. In jobs, it automates repetitive tasks, increases productivity, and creates new careers in technology, though it may also replace some traditional roles. In privacy, AI can collect and analyze large amounts of personal data, which raises concerns about data security and surveillance. In daily life, AI is used in smartphones, social media, virtual assistants, navigation apps, and online shopping, making tasks faster and more convenient. Overall, AI greatly improves efficiency but requires responsible and ethical use.

Applying the SAMR Model Assignment
Applying the SAMR Model Assignment Instructions
Overview
The SAMR Model is a framework developed by Dr. Ruben R. Puentedura that helps teachers understand how to integrate technology in the classroom to provide learning experiences that increase student achievement (Walsh, 2017). Walsh (2017) explains the different levels of the SAMR Model framework developed by Dr. Puentedura as shown below:
Substitution – technology is being used as a tool, but there is no change to the task.
Augmentation – the task is improved by using technology.
Modification – technology leads to the redesign of the task.
Redefinition – new tasks that were previously not possible can be undertaken.
This model is helpful for teachers as they can see their level of technology integration (Veletsianos, 2016). These four levels fall into two categories: enhancement (substitution and augmentation) and transformation (modification and redefinition) (Velestianos, 2016). Integrating technology just to integrate technology is not effective. It is important that teachers look to integrate technology in the transformation category.
Instructions
Explain in 12 pages why you believe integrating technology at a high level is important. You will need to use at least 3 current, peer-reviewed scholarly references to support your claims.
Choose a learning activity, such as a writing assignment, book report, oral presentation, etc., that you have assigned or will assign to your students, and explain how you could use technology to make the learning activity fall in the redefinition level of the SAMR Model. If you are not a teacher, you can choose a learning activity from your work environment or a learning activity from a hypothetical traditional classroom to move to the redefinition level of the SAMR Model.
You will need to explain why you believe this activity now falls into the redefinition stage of the SAMR Model. You will explain why the activity falls into the redefinition stage by identifying the task or tasks that can now be accomplished that were previously not possible without integrating technology.
You will need to identify the specific technology you would use and how you would use it, and not speak in general terms.
You will need to write in current APA format.
You must use the Applying the SAMR Model Template for this assignment.
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

Why Integrating Technology at a High Level is Important
In this section you will explain in 1-2-pages why you believe integrating technology at a high level is important. You will need to use at least 3 current (within 5 years), peer-reviewed scholarly references to support your claims.
Original Activity
In this section you will explain the learning activity such as a writing assignment, book report, etc…oral presentation you have used or will use in your classroom. If you are not a teacher you are able to choose a learning activity from your work environment, or a learning activity from a hypothetical traditional classroom.
Redefinition Stage
In this section you explain how you could use technology to make the learning activity fall in the redefinition level of the SAMR Model. You will need to identify the specific technology you would use and not speak in general terms. You must provide rationale on why you believe using technology has moved this traditional activity to the redefinition stage of the SAMR Model. You will explain why the activity falls into the redefinition stage by identifying the task or tasks that can now be accomplished that were previously not possible without integrating technology. You will need to identify the specific technology you would use and how you would use it, and not speak in general terms.
References
You will need to cite only the references you used in your paper. Please make sure all references adhere to current APA guidelines.

- . Use of the template is required. A 10% deduction will be applied if the template is not used. See the rubric. Type your responses on the template in place of the [Type Here] text. Do not submit handwritten notes. Save the template and include your name in the file name.
- Select a quality improvement (QI) problem that requires quality improvement. This should be the same problem you described in the Wednesday Check-In. It may be a real problem you are currently encountering in practice or clinical rotations, a concern, or a problem from scholarly sources you are familiar with. You are encouraged to choose something relative to your practice. Form a problem statement with that information. An example:
- Admitted clients boarding in the Emergency Department are experiencing delays in care.
- Children and adults are not receiving recommended vaccines.
- Gather 1-2 scholarly sources that document this problem in healthcare and provide evidence supporting the need for quality improvement.
- Complete the sections in the template outlining the problem, the rationale for the selection of the problem, and the sources documenting the need for a solution. Each section should include detail in 2-3 sentences. Cite sources where specified.
- Use the fishbone diagram in the template to complete a root cause analysis of the problem.
- Briefly describe the problem
- Under each category (People, Environment, Method/Process, and Equipment/Supplies), list at least two contributing factors to the problem. The contributing factors may fall under more than one category. See the example in the lesson.
- Mark each contributing factor as a realistic or unrealistic target for improvement efforts using the visual designations on the template. For example, staffing, while a contributing factor to many problems, is not a realistic target for improvement efforts.
- If you prefer, you can use green or red highlight on the text of the contributing factors instead of using the visual symbols on the template.
- Complete the PDSA Quality Improvement Project outline using the spaces provided on the template (replacing the [Type Here] instructions with your text). Write this section acting as if you have completed the QI project.
- Select one contributing factor from the fishbone diagram. This should be one of the realistic targets for improvement efforts identified on the fishbone diagram.
- List 2-4 interprofessional stakeholders involved in the project (delete any unused [Type Here] text).
- Write one SMART goal for the PDSA Quality Improvement Project. Include all elements of the SMART goal in one sentence.
- Under the Plan phase, write a plan for the quality improvement project to meet the SMART goal. How will you meet your SMART goal? Describe your plan in 2-3 sentences.
- Under the Do phase, imagine you have completed the project. Briefly describe how the Plan was hypothetically implemented. What were the results? Include hypothetical data. Describe your implementation in 2-3 sentences using past tense.
- Under the Study phase, imagine that you have successfully completed the project and have positive data that demonstrates successful implementation and goal attainment. Describe your evaluation using 2-3 sentences using past tense.
- Under the Act phase, imagine that you have completed the project. Briefly describe how to maintain the improvement or revise and repeat the PDSA process based on whether or not the goal was met. Describe your process in 2-3 sentences using past tense. See the example in the lesson.
- Click the Submit button at the top of this page to upload your completed assignment.
- Correctly cite and reference ideas and information that come from scholarly sources. Sources should be no more than five years old unless they are historical references. Hanging indent is not required.
- Follow grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation rules consistent with formal, scientific writing.
