Map grid
For this assignment you need to view my short 10-minute video below (also on the Module instructions page). You will be making a calendar grid just like the one I showed you, and it won’t take long. You should be able to do it in about 15 – 30 minutes (if you take more than 45 minutes you’re taking too long–don’t be too worried about color, etc!), and it is a general color-blocking on the grid of your major time commitments. You may select your own colors, but label which items are which–clinicals, sleep, study, class-lecture listening time, eating, etc. Here is the blank grid. Just use your word processor colors and the “fill” icon, rather than the highlight icon, and it will color the various areas. Take a look at the rubric below to make sure you included all needed items. it has to include the Color-coding identifies all 168 hours of the week, including the various major activities of the nursing student’s week, sleep, clinicals and lab, lecture class time, meals, driving time, study time, personal time, other activities. Im a junior 2 student taking only med surg and my probations class. my clinical days are Monday and Tuesday every week for 6 weeks starting on February 16 till March 24th 2026Attached Files (PDF/DOCX): 2026-SPRING_2262-NURS-SS-2232-600docx.pdf, N3661CareoftheadultAOSpring26.docx, ExampleJ1CalendarinWord.docx, CalendarGrid.docx

The Uses of Enchantment
Referring as specifically and frequently as possible to any of the weeks course materialthe books readings, additional reading, discussion boards, and videoswrite and submit an essay answering the following prompt.
Prompt Questions
Before responding to the prompt, please make sure you’ve read Bettelheim’s article from our week 2 readings:
Look back on what you and your peers have written in our this week. Choose two to three interpretations from your peers. At least one should be an interpretation that you yourself find compelling and agree with, and at least one should be one that youre not sure about or may want to reject.
(Its possible that all of them are compelling, or you want to reject everything; if thats the case, say so, but try to differentiate between your readings.)
After you’ve chosen your interpretations, analyze them in your response paper. Share why you agree and/or why you disagree with the interpretation your peer offered. Remember to use specific examples and quotations from the discussion board, Bettelheim, and your readings from this week!
As a conclusion, address the question that we began in the discussion:
- Who do you think should read the fairy tales youve written about?
- Are they good for adults, children, or both?
- Would they be better off changed or adapted, as many of the Cinderella stories have been?
- Did you learn something from them, or from interpreting them?
Assignment Expectations
- Your essay should be about 650-750 words; a little longer or shorter is fine.
- Your essay does not need to follow a rigid format. I am not looking for a certain number of paragraphs (although there should be more than one long block of text), a conventional introduction/body/conclusion format, a specific number of sentences in each paragraph, or a three-part thesis statement in the introduction. (If you dont know what Im referring to, thats finethis is for students who have had a specific notion of essay writing instilled in them, probably in high school.)
- You can, and maybe even should, use the first person, or I pronoun, throughout, since I am asking what you think!
- Unlike what you may expect from other courses, I WANT you to reuse, rework, repurpose, and/or revise what they wrote in the Discussion boards for their weekly response papers. That is, anything that you post is still yours to use. You may not take anything that another student has posted, but you are welcome to refer to other students ideas, or to any points I have made in a recording if you credit the person by name. If you feel as though what the other student wrote is crucial to your point, you may cite that students post in the same way that you would cite from the book: using quotation marks around any language taken word for word. You do not need to include any additional kinds of citations.
- My goal is to give you incentive to take your discussion posts seriously, since stronger postsespecially if they can be developed through peers replieswill lend themselves to stronger papers and should even make the papers easier to write, since youve already thought about the material and youre not starting them from scratch. The paper should reflect everything in the weeks unit: the textbook reading, the additional course materials, the lectures, and the discussions.
- Overall, your job is to answer the question as clearly and thoughtfully as possible, using the materials from the course as jumping off points, development, and evidence of any claims.

The Business Proposal
Create presentations that achieve a defined business purpose.
The Business Proposal
In this assessment, you will research a product or service or an environmental initiative. Then, you will create an original presentation following the instructions below.
Checklist:
1) Prepare a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation with audio of no fewer than 12 and no more than 15 slides with speaker notes, with graphics on at least half of the slides, and 34 bulleted points per slide, summarizing either:
- An improvement to an existing product or service you have envisioned in the role of a product specialist at a company. You will present to the parent companys marketing and sales department manager that produces the product or service.
OR
- An environmental initiative you would like to propose to your local town council for consideration. It can concern air quality, waste recycling, water quality, mitigation of embankments or lake areas to prevent floods, etc.
2) Propose your initiative or improvement.
- Explain the need or purpose, and the benefit it will provide. Your notes should provide a detailed explanation of your bulleted reasoning and the benefits of what you propose.
3) Make sure that your recorded audio explanation is clear and concise, and addresses the appropriate audience so that the listener has sufficient information to initially approve your proposal.
4) Record the audio portion to auto-advance, presenting your PowerPoint and include speaker notes below each slide in the notes section. Make sure your audio portion is not merely a reading of the slide bulleted points. You must use graphics to illustrate your points, follow presentation best practices based on the practice activity, and summarize presentation suggestions as seen in the reading.
5) Any short citations and a references slide must follow the current APA edition format and citation style.

Cinderella Story
Versions of Cinderella
Write about the version of Cinderella that you watched. Name it, describe it, and compare it with the Grimm version.
Then (most importantly!) see where and how you can discuss how it exemplifies and challenges the conventions of the fairy tale form that the readings have established. Be specific!
At the same time, you may be able to start discussing how some of the conventions of movies themselves are somewhat different from the conventions of fairy tales, and how these seeming contradictions of form complicate or come together in the film you watched.
- Wherever possible, include examples from fairy tales in addition to, and other than, Cinderella.
- How may other fairy tales connect to the Cinderella story, and to the movie you saw? Include your quotations (more on this under “guidelines”)!
- Finally, who would you say is the audience for this movie? Why?
Responses
Read at least four of your peers posts. Then, respond to the point that at least two of them have made. If you comment on a post thats about the same version you saw, see if you can challenge or even politely disagree with some aspect of the response or interpretation. If you write about a version you havent seen, see if you can come up with a question based on the response that allows the writer to develop or complicate his or her discussion. At least one Reply should be at least 100 words, with more encouraged.
Guidelines
As I wrote last week, make sure to use specific direct quotations from the readings and, if possible, the movie itself. After introducing the quotation in your own wordsmaking sure to enclose it in quotation marks and ending with its page number in (parentheses) so everyone knows where to look for itexplain what purpose the quotation has for the assignment, including the possibility of why you chose these quotations together.
