  • fix reflection

can you fix this so it doesnt sound like ai keep it casual and simple. its based off the IMMANUEL KANT

    GROUNDWORK

    of the

    METAPHYSIC of MORALS

    Translated and analysed by

    H. J. PATON. Chapter I, pp. 61-64; Analysis, pp. 17-18 . A part of the reading from Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals by Immanuel Kant that I found interesting was the discussion about what makes an action morally good. Kant explains that actions are not truly moral because of their outcomes, but because of the intention behind them, especially when they are done out of duty. He emphasizes that a good will is the only thing that is good without qualification. This made me think about how often people judge actions based on results rather than motives. Kants idea suggests that even if something turns out badly, it can still have moral worth if it was done for the right reasons. I found this concept challenging but meaningful because it shifts the focus from consequences to principles. It made me reflect on how difficult it is to act purely out of duty rather than personal gain or emotion.

  • Help finding data sources 2008 presidential election

1). Slide 11 identifies the sources for the first explanation but not the second explanation. Slide 12 (third entry) suggests you will use campaign archives and reports to identify the two candidates campaign appearances. Which ones? You need to identify the URLs that provide access to the necessary information.

2). Slide 12 includes both campaign visits and field office activity (see third entry). Slide 12 indicates you will use news sources and campaign records to identify the two candidates field offices. Which ones? That entails identifying the URLs that provide access to the necessary information.

3). Should you complete the first two items by Tuesday, then you should identify the specific BEA and Gallop URLs that will supply the relevant data for GDP and approval ratings.

Plan to come to your 10:00 a.m. meeting on Tuesday prepared to show me the specific data sources you will use to collect the data for the second and third explanations (be ready to share the URLs) and some of the data you collect. That task would align with the first two entries on slide 13. On Tuesday, based on what you show me, we will figure out what your next step will be for Thursday.

  • Computer Ethics

This weeks discussion focuses on intellectual property, digital ownership, and ethics in emerging technologies. As you explored in the readings and materials, digital tools have made it easier than ever to create, remix, and share content. However, these same tools raise complex questions about ownership, permission, fairness, and responsibility in the digital world.

    Scenario:

A company called Anthropic attempted to remove leaked source code from the internet. In doing so, thousands of unrelated GitHub repositories were also taken down. The company later stated this was an accident, but the situation raised important questions about intellectual property, control, and unintended consequences in digital spaces.

    You can read more here:

    In your post:

    • Briefly explain what stands out to you about this situation.
    • Respond to at least TWO of the following:
      • Who was affected by this situation, and was the companys response justified?
      • When companies try to protect intellectual property, where should the line be drawn to avoid harming others?
      • How does this case shape your understanding of ownership in the digital world?
      • Where do you encounter intellectual property in your daily life (music, memes, AI tools, school materials, etc.), and how do you decide what is okay to use or share?
      • What is one question this situation raises for you about copyright, ethics, or digital ownership?
    • Make a real-world connection:
      • Have you seen something similar happen online?
      • How would you respond if your own content was affected?
    • Reflect on ethics:
      • What responsibilities do companies, users, or platforms have in situations like this?
      • Why do those responsibilities matter?
