Assignment 4.2 Ethical Dilemmas

Research Ethical Breaches in Trusted Positions: Find three articles about breaches of ethics that led to ethical compromises for individuals in trusted positions. Discuss the ethical dilemmas involved and whether the individuals understood the risks they were taking. Ensure that at least one article pertains to the military and another to a civilian government agency.

Preventative Protocols and Consequences: Analyze what protocols could have been implemented to prevent these breaches. Discuss the consequences faced by the individuals and the organizations involved. Evaluate how the release of sensitive information increased the risk to others or the organization.

• Your paper must be substantive and demonstrate your ability to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills.

A credible source is written by someone who is an expert in their discipline and is free of errors and bias. Usually, this means that blog authors, content creators (YouTube), Wikipedia postings, and random answers found on the Internet do not count as credible. While ChatGPT and other OpenAI tools are producing amazing results, at this time they should not be considered credible. Book authors, blogs written by industry leaders (their credentials must be verified), and scholarly journals can be considered credible sources and used in your writings. You must include at least 2 in-text citations/direct quotes that includes a valid link to your source.
