    3. peer feedback reviews

      FEEDBACK 1

The interview was very well done! The interviewee gave very in-depth and detailed answers, which was nice. She made strong points in her answers, and you could tell the interviewee seemed very involved in the conversation as well. It seemed more personal, which is always a good thing. I think the interviewer asked some pretty good questions as well. The works cited from the questions asked are missing, but I do see one at the end of the document. The theme coding for the transcript was also missing from the interview document. I feel like the analysis could’ve had more parts, but I can’t really tell since the coding for the themes wasn’t done. In addition to the analysis, a good connection was made regarding gender bias and how the interviewee had experienced it before. Another good connection that was made was regarding Crenshaw and intersectionality, and how it ties into the interviewees’ cultural background. Overall, the project was done well, minus a couple of small things that needed to be fixed. The small changes don’t make or break the assignment per se, but in the future, the critiquing can just be used as constructive criticism. Continue with the hard work!

      FEEDBACK 2

This student’s submission was good, and one of its biggest strengths was that the writing sounded natural and human rather than overly robotic or forced. The tone flowed well, and the response felt genuine and easy to read. It was clear that effort went into making the writing sound thoughtful and realistic, which helped make the assignment more engaging. The ideas were communicated in a way that felt authentic, and that made the submission stand out in a positive way.

At the same time, I do think the assignment could have been stronger with more thoroughness in certain areas. While the overall response was solid, some sections could have gone into more detail or provided more development of the main ideas. A few points felt slightly brief, and adding more explanation or stronger examples would have made the analysis more complete and insightful. More depth would have helped strengthen the connection between the interview content and the writers discussion.

I also think the transcript portion could have followed the instructions more accurately. Based on the assignment guidelines, the color coding was supposed to be included to clearly identify the themes throughout the transcript, but that was missing here. Since that was a specific part of the instructions, including it would have made the assignment more accurate and aligned with what was required. Overall, this was still a well-written and human-sounding submission, but it would be even better with more thorough detail and closer attention to the transcript formatting instructions.

      FEEDBACK 3

Hi Elizabeth! Great job on your interview assignment, the questions you have presented for this assignment are very clear and encourages the participant to want to give more in-depth answers. For example, your question: Have you ever experienced or observed inequality in the workplace or school based on gender, race, or background? Was a great answer to ask because it encourages the participant to reflect on real-life experiences with discrimination and inequality. I feel like these questions allow them to reflect on personal and/or observed situations they may experience which helps to uncover how race, gender, and background and influence people’s treatment and their opportunities around them. Which when reading the transcript of your interview, it clearly demonstrated that perspective going deep on expressing their experiences on it. I feel like things that I did feel like that could be worked on is the formatting since I do know that, correct me if I’m wrong. Must include “interviewer” and “interviewee” as well as the time duration of labeling and as they speak. I do believe you were supposed to highlight the themes that were mentioned inside the interview as well. You did, however, did a great job with citing the material that connects what was tied into the questions. Overall, you did a great job on your interview assignment.

    5. negotiating the nurse practitioner employment contract

NEGOTIATING THE NURSE PRACTITIONER EMPLOYMENT CONTRACt

I WOULD LIKE TO ER OR PCP, ALSO I NEED A SCRIPT ON WHAT TO SAY DURING MY VIDEO THAT NEEDS TO BE UP TO 20 MINUTES, I ALSO NEED 3 CIATIONS

If you could work at the practice of your dreams, what would that look like? How would you negotiate that dream job contract?

Graduating from nurse practitioner school is an exciting time of accomplishment. However, its also time to turn dreams into reality and begin your search for the perfect job. Being passionate about the specialty you would like to go into, and the impact you would like to have on your community and profession are all important aspects of landing a job. After all, attitude can be everything to a future employer, but there are some things to consider before your job search and interview: The type of practice that would work best for you (and your family), and the position contract you will negotiate.

For this assignment, you will develop a PowerPoint Presentation (8-10 slides) answering the questions listed in Parts 1 and 2 of the assignment. The presentation is to be recorded in your own words, as if you were presenting it to your instructor. You are to use the audio produced by PowerPoint and not an Mp3 file.

You are to follow the 10/20/30 rule for presentations: no more than 10 slides, presentation not longer than 20 minutes, and text is not lower than 30-point font.

      RESOURCES

Be sure to review the Learning Resources before completing this activity.
Click the weekly resources link to access the resources.

      To Prepare:

      • Review the weekly resources.
      • Seek out professional resources on contract negotiations.
      • Review the FNP scope of practice for your state.
      • Seek out local NP organizations to assess which organizations would best fit your needs.

      BY DAY 7

Submit the recorded PowerPoint presentation. (This assignment does not need to be submitted through Turnitin) but you must have a reference slide to support your thoughts and ideas.

For Part 1 of this assignment:

      1. Discuss the type of practice and setting you would like to work out of (specialty, family, geriatrics, hospital, nursing home, hospice, urgent care, etc.). What makes for an ideal work environment? What type of support system and staff do you need? What services do you see yourself providing? What services are you NOT willing to or are not comfortable providing?
      2. How will you meet your CME requirements while practicing at this setting? How will you keep track of your CME hours?
      3. What nursing organization(s) interest you in joining, and how will joining an organization benefit you at your position?
      4. Once you have met the requirements for autonomy in your state while working at your current position, and for those of you who practice in a lifetime of collaboration state, assume you will one day have autonomy. How will you maintain your collaborative relationships with other nurse practitioners you have worked with, the practitioners you have referred to, as well as your collaborative physician?

      Part 2 of the assignment:

Youve just been offered a position at the perfect job you discussed in Part 1 of the assignment.

Besides focusing on patients, reaching a fair and equitable contract that includes not only your salary and benefits but expectations of your patient load, the amount of time you will be spending at the clinic or a health care setting, and the services you will be providing, will affect how you feel about your job over time. Its time now to consider the positions job offer.

      Part 2:

      1. What questions should you ask your potential future employer about the offer?
      2. What salary and bonus structure are acceptable to you?
      3. How can you figure out your net worth for the practice?
      4. If you are expected to take call, what percentage of your salary is reasonable toward this activity?
      5. List the benefits you should negotiate into your contract.
      6. Discuss the practice expectations with your employer. How can you be sure that you are being asked to practice within the scope of your practice?

    7. Questioning, Normalizing and Summarizing in Counseling Discu…

How can counselors use questioning, summarizing, and normalizing together in a way that supports client strengths and avoids unintentionally minimizing the clients experience? In your response, consider how different types of questions (open vs. directive) and summaries can either deepen insight or lead the session too much, and reflect on how you would balance these skills in practice. Provide an example of how you might use these skills together in a session. These skills are essential in helping clients feel understood while also encouraging insight and growth
