A female patient with a history of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) that progressed to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) underwent bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Following the procedure, her condition progressively deteriorated while she was admitted to the hematology ward. She developed acute respiratory failure, and a rapid response team was activated due to increasing oxygen requirements. After ICU admission, the patients condition worsened significantly, requiring endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation.
